The wonder and the colour of the rainbow, dripping into the daisy!
When the conditions are right where I live we experience the wonderful phenomena of sea fog. The first one I experienced was when I was “in between” cameras. I was devastated! I have been hoping ever since that we would get another one… I peered out the window today while I was on the phone and saw that today was the day! I had to make my apologies to my friend on the phone – a girl has to get her priorities right – and happily spent the next two hours snapping, with my young boys as my photography assistants. The title of this piece is inspired by one of my favourite scenes in Lord of the Rings. Gandalf the mighty wizard gives his life to ensure the freedom of his friends… and so my friend today gave to me the same gift of freedom as I hastily hung up the phone to explore my sea fog.
For Poppykitten’s comp – CAT=EVERYTHING ELSE This was taken on holiday in Croyde Bay, North Devon a great UK surfing beach. The wind was blowing up the beach and had blown sand away from the stones leaving them like this, lit by the afternoon sun. / . / © photogenique (dave peddie): using this image for any purpose and in any way, without prior permission, may lead to legal action. / . / Do check out Pete Langman’s great portfolio /
Out of the bouquet of a beautiful bride … cast into the foreverness of the ocean of love.
... where we fell in love, where she first kissed me and stole my heart, where I found myself and liked me and made a promise to return to the shade of the tree, to the very very beginning! There I will meet her again.. there…
Sometimes one only gets to see part of the whole, but that part is so breathtaking that no more is needed, sometimes a person will only reveal a part of themselves, and over time one sees a little more and a little more and the glimpse grows and the picture becomes whole…
Mother Thames bursts her banks after months of heavy rainfall… what a beautiful spectacle she offers, the wonder and grace of nature. .. a formidable force indeed.. Her strength inspires me and her beauty leaves me breathless.

I remember when I was a small child my first view of Mount Nankeira, with a backdrop of stars. / I stood holding Nanna’s hand, feeling the the pull of the great unknown, and knowing that someday I would be exploring those same Nebulas and Stars. / Standing here at the edge of the Sundering Sea, the mountain was awesome, but more awesome was my future beyond. This is a collaboration between Julie Langford and I . I used Julies image Nothing is Too Big with a Hand to Hold
the birds will feast when we are gone.
Tulips are one of my favorite flowers to photograph because their stems curve so wonderfully. These had very long stems, and were about to fall over, so I had to shoot quickly. :) Winner of the Tulips (Group 1) Challenge in All About Flowers—thank you!

Its another Question but I hate it above all else, this one is yes or no. We are all oblivious, and I am no exception. We have our beliefs and we have a reasons for both sides, no one is right and no one is wrong, it just is. I used to be pretty far into that tunnel, I may be out of the water but I still look back, What if? It isn’t as hard as it looks to get back into the blood stained water, its harder to stay out. I’m dry as you can see, this is the first time I’ve been dry since learning to swim, I’ve never been out for this long. I miss the wet sometimes, how ridiculous is that.
