  • Looking through the bus window on the way home, I see this playful movement of light and dark shades, between leaves and branches. It is a moment to be captured. Real image with no additional painting… The light painted it on my camera’s ccd sensor! I have set the camera on manual zoom, manual speed and aperture, so that the motion can be capture on shutter release. Behind the glass window of a moving bus, I hunt for the right angle of sun and the right tree, and follow throught the target like taking an image of a sport player. All about timing and a bit of luck! Love to see critiques and comments. All welcome. • This is a breakfastscene. Ceasar from next doorneighbourswall looking in on our breakfast. I liked the engergy in this shadow.

  • This is a view of my wall behind my computer with the light coming through my blind in the afternoon. I love the little patterns it makes on the wall and I couldn’t decide which one I liked most so I had to make a triptych. I hope you enjoy it too!

  • This was taken at the downtown loft where my church college group meets. On this day we were tearing down walls to make more room. If I’d taken a picture slightly to the left, you’d see mounds of insulation, drywall, wiring and 2×4s littering the room. It was a huge mess – hence the dust creating the wonderful effect near the window.

  • “The doors we open and close each day decide the lives we live.” / ~Flora Whittemore Nikon D40, Nikkor VR 55-200mm lens As I made my way to the beach early one morning, I found this at the end of a passage on the third floor of the resort. The sun had just made an appearance and I was in awe of the beautiful light and shadows created by the sunlight through the palm leaves and arched open air window. / Taken in February 2009 at the Majestic Colonial Beach Resort, Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. Best On Full Size This image was taken at The Keystone State – Pennsylvania group’s recent shoot in Lancaster County, PA (near Manheim) at BreakAway Farms. One of the great things about this shot, for me, is that my Dear Hubby (who came along YAY!) actually found this little bottle and placed it on the window sill for me. He even named the shot. The bottle is from the wedding of the owner of the farm … 6 years previous. It eventually gathered quite a crowd … this is Ann, Mike and Eric all working to get just the right perspective!!!! The bottle image taken on the morning of August 8, 2009 with the Nikon D300 and the 18-200mm vr Nikon lens. Shutter was at 1/50, aperture f/13, exp. 0.00, iso 400. Post processing included duplication of the image 3 more times at +3, 0, -3, -8 and HDR in Photomatix, then back to Photoshop for more work with the clone tool, levels, blending with a previously multiplied layer and addition of a texture. texture courtesy of Ghostbones on Flickr
