This was taken between Mt.Hotham and Dinner Plain, at JB Plain in the Victorian Alps. Another image from my ‘green room’ series, shot at ABM. This time I elected to concentrate on light and composition instead of colour. It would have been so easy to crank up the red on the ‘Ladder Safety’ poster… but I like the darker B&W mood here rather more. At full magnification it is still possible to read every word of the ‘Ode to Roger’ pinned on the noticeboard.

8.5” x 11: graphite pencil drawing on paper. This is a fellow artist I meet on MySpace a few years ago and finally got around to asking him I could draw him. He sent me four photos in a series and this is the first. I decided to leave the bottom of the drawing unfinished. Not out of being lazy but I tend to like pencil drawings to look just that.
