  • Where there is light our shadow is near…

  • From an old Nursery Rhyme Goosey, goosey, gander, / Whither shall I wander? / Upstairs, and downstairs, / And in my lady’s chamber. There I met an old man / Who wouldn’t say his prayers! / I took him by the left leg / And threw him down the stairs.

  • Enjoy! _

  • Taken at the same shoot as “Light and Shade”

  • I was viewing some properties in the Canary Islands and spotted this – I was immediately drawn to the shadows of course, but also to the way they changed over the various textures of the building. / I tinted this image blue as it seemed to suit it – but perhaps also to momentarily erase the memory of that gorgeous sunshine, as I sit here looking out the window onto a very grey and rain soaked English winter’s day!

  • The hand that encourages, supports, directs, forces, manipulates, guides, initiates, pressures, leads…is the same hand that carries your bag, rests while sleeping and scratches an itch.

  • Last in the series… Enjoy!! _

  • Concrete steps in an unfinished building.

  • Image taken at the National Gallery of Victoria. / Dedicated to my Superman.

  • We were in Singapore I think when my mom bought these really pretty glass sweets, they were the size of an actual sweet but in differnt shapes and colors. I was working in the studio at that time and i noticed the shadow was made up of such lovely colors but the trick was to get the angle of the light just right so that the shadow turned out not blurry nor distorted but a true shadow of the sweet. And after many blurry shots I finally nailed it. /

  • The only thing stronger than the bonds of the chain is the fastening of a shadow – Anthony R Plastino III Yearn On – Katie Donovan I want you to feel the unbearable lack of me. / I want your skin to yearn for the soft lure of mine; / I want those hints of red on your canvas to deepen in passion for me: / carmine, burgundy. / I want you to keep stubbing your toe on the memory of me; / I want your head to be dizzy and your stomach in a spin; / I want you to hear my voice in your ear, to touch your face / imagining it’s my hand. / I want your body to quiver and shiver at the mere idea of mine. / I want you to feel as though life after me is dull, and pointless, / and very, very aggravating; / that with me you were lifted on a current you waited all your life to find, / and had despaired of finding, as though you were wading / through a soggy swill of inanity and ugliness every minute we are apart. / I want you to drive yourself crazy with the fantasy of me, / and how we will meet again, against all odds, / and there will be tears and flowers, and the vast relief of not I, but US. / I am haunting your dreams, conducting these fevers from a distance, / a distance that leaves me weeping, / and storming, / and bereft.
