It’s gone from light to gray / But I’ll move those clouds away / Letting the sun shine through / In this ode to you / Let the demons have their place / If so it’s angels you’ll create / And disguised within the dark / Light will wait / My heart I owe you my soul Dredg – Ode to the Sun

Here I have captured my hubby watching the children while they play in the water during a sunset.
Found a Dandelion Fairy in the yard while watching the sunset over the suburban rooftops and thought, hey.. Why not? And this was the end result! / Nikon D80
Or maybe just show off!! This is my hubby ‘trying’ his best to do a hand stand at the beach a few days ago! Probably not one of my ‘artistic best’ but nevertheless fun! Enjoy :o)
I stand, I stare / I wonder, where? I pray, I breathe / to stay, or leave? I live, I lie / I wonder, why? I love, I pain / I feel the same. I give, I get / and yet, and yet? Shot on Werneth Low, Hyde. Overlooking Manchester City Centre
“Ancient guardians / of time and secrets, / the stone giants / lean and whisper / of their youth. The whisperers remember / when the age was new, / and shadows had not fallen / across the broad moor. The Standing Stones / keep well their secrets / teasing with memories / that only the dead / can know” poem by Celtic Poet. / Rie Sheridan

This image of the Right Mitten framed in between two rocks shows the shadow of the Left Mitten falling across it. The Sky was doing some amazing things behind me and I noticed that most people had truned for the sunset. I steedfast remained shooting into the park. The change in colour taking place in the Valley as the sunset came closer was amazing. The right rock is slightly burned in but I am not one to play in Layers. This is a 3 image HDR given only a slight adjustment. The resulting image was then processed in CS3 with a slight adjustment to straighten the horizion and curves to add a little extra contrast. All 3 images to make the HDR were shot with a Nikon D70 Featured in That One Great Shot / Featured in Top Shelf Wildlife & Nature Art ! / Featured in Mornings and Evenings / Featured in American Southwest / Featured in Dimensions / Featured in The Top Favorite Group – 30 or more 717 views on the 5th Nov 2009 / 30 Favourites on the 20th Dec 2009
