This guitar is used by various musicians from Paul Weller to ACDC’s Angus Young ( and my Brother in Law, Tappy ! ) and has a glorious sound. This one was built in Nashville ( with pride ) by Randy. Been watching my Stargate Sg-1 DvD’s lately as I type out my thrid book. I was a history major a long time ago. It seem so romatic at the time. I wanted to be like Indiana Jones and teach by day and have some minor adventures by night. Now where did I put my whip? Anyways I like how Dr. jackson always had so many cool books in his office. Thumbs up to the production designer!

.HEADCAGE by Rolf Knudsen. / Headcage was inspired by the name of a friends’ rock band.Initially I thought I’d do it for them but then decided to keep it.I tend to draw guitars I’ve used myself such as this one which is a Gibson SG.The reptilian face behind the ‘cage’ and the snake/guitar neck wrapped around his arm symbolise both age and a reluctance or inability to drop old habits,not all of which were legal.This old guy has played forever and never got nowhere.It’s me and a million other blokes.30×42cm.Ink on 260gsm Bristol paper.Framed $800.

If Dr. Frankenstein had a guitar…. This is my entry for the Music Machines Redbubble challenge. I built this guy using a Gibson SG guitar as my base, then used Frankenstein and cartoon monsters in general as inspiration to construct it. I really wanted to push myself for this challenge, and i think i have done that. This is my first real foray into this sort of illustration, so hopefully you think i’ve done a good job. Please zoom in for a better look at the details. Feedback would be greatly appreciated, anything that will help the design in the comp I will try and incorporate before entries close. Some details to note: / > His eyes are made up by the volume/tone knobs. / > His nose is made up by the pick up switch, but instead of it reading ‘Lead and Rhythm’, it reads ‘Crush and Kill’. / > His mouth is made up by a pick up. / > His angry eye brow is made up by the bridge. / > His ‘Frankenstein neck bolt’ things are made up by tuning pegs. / > His arms and mace thing are parts of the guitar neck. / > And his skull bag is made up by guitar strings.
