  • I’ve finally got around to making this one into a tee :) Will try to make some more of my drawings into tees soon, suggestions on which ones are more then welcome! / Zoom in for full effect. This illustration was published in the 2007 Semi-Permanent book, yay! Also looks hot on colour

  • Stitched is taken from an original painting called ‘Kaleidescope Flannels’. / The flowers themselves were painted using a blue ink, which I have encouraged to ‘bleed’ giving the effect of batik work. This design would be cool to wear with levis and a bandana! Wear this one over your heart when your feeling some attitude coming on … lol

  • Mended Heart

Its a broken heart on the mend.

  • Knitting is one of several ways to turn thread or yarn into cloth.Similar to crochet, knitting consists of loops pulled through other loops. There are two varieties of knitting, weft knitting and warp knitting.Warp knitting is generally done by machine, whereas weft knitting may be done by hand.A knitting needle or knitting pin is a long stick or rod used as a tool in the manufacture of hand knitted fabric. Knitting needles have also been called knitting sticks, knitting pins, knitting wires, or simply wires or rods.

  • A portrait of a relaxed woman, head tilted back, afro freshly fluffed with beautiful ornaments called paisley. This portrait is framed by a lacey oval shape topped with a paisley flower, stylized stem shapes, 2 more paisleys and crowned with a 3D wireframe object enclosed in a round of flowers. This is a piece further inspired by other original paisley pen sketches I have made and a deeper experiment of the most recent “Paisley Tresses”. One major idea behind this is the substitution of the main object and it being replaced with a different object of choice. Not a brand new idea but another interpretation of those great ideas that other artists have used for many years in some POP art pieces. 3-9-2008

  • Inspired by a dream, I had at night. / Mixed Media. Abstract expression. A colourful solution to mend aches of the heart. Can cosmetics heal aches of the heart… ?... / Could colour build , or renew the cells of the a beating heart ?... / Theoretical idea. / Of – course with a slightest difference between theory to deed :-) With my love to YOU. Thanks for viewing and commenting, / Have a joyful loving weekend! Copyrights© Nira Dabush

  • Sooo...
    by Gili Orr

    US$25.94

“Sooo…” was featured in Outsiders The thread-and-needle dance. Drawn in PS. It’s much easier for the elegant thread to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God… (slight variation on Matthew 19:24) /

  • Ok.. so its not really hand made in china (well maybe, who really knows). But anywho, this is one of my personal favourites, as it has a touch of irony about it (irony, is that the right word here?).

  • Another Paisley sketch re-rendered (drawn) using Black and White vectors. This paisley object contains a mens’/womens’ button-up dress shirt with a pocket on the side. The sleeves of the shirt are folded in and topped with a flower. Surrounding this image is a round o’ cuffs making visible the cuffs that were hidden on the inner part of the image. Placed at the top is a button medallion to accentuate the theme of “buttoning-up”. To furthermore reinforce the theme the Paisley object is embellished with the circular pattern of petal’d buttons. 3-5-08

  • A reel is an object around which lengths of another material are wound for storage. Generally a reel has a cylindrical core and walls on the sides to retain the material wound around the core. In some cases the core is hollow, although other items may be mounted on it, and grips may exist for mechanically turning the reel. The size of the core is dependent on several factors. A smaller core will obviously allow more material to be stored in a given space. However there is a limit to how tightly the stored material can be wound without damaging it and this limits how small the core can be.
