Gotta love West Oz light. Especially at Sunset. Surfer leaves the water at Indgie Carparks as water rushes up in the foreground making it look like liquid metal.

Another magic evening in Byron. Clarks Beach.
The original painting is oil on canvas / 120×90 cm / The original was sold. / Also a framed print was sold to RB member. “Hey Sax, Trumpet and Bass! / Come and join the piano / Sounds in many colours / Spark each other”
Pen and ink drawing with an added wash of Guinness Stout. Crescent hot press watercolor board, 100% rag, acid-free, 140 lb watercolor sheet mounted to triple-thick board. It eliminates the need for restretching, used to support the wet media. This drawing was a commission for the Boston pub band “The Gobshites”. They will use the drawing as cover art for their new cd “Songs Me Da Got Pissed To”. The portraits onn the wall are JFK and the band leader’s “Da”. I developed the technique for painting with stout after I spilled a drop of Guinness on my sketchbook while sketching session musicians at a local Irish pub. It feels like centuries ago that we were used to work with typewriters and that we could listen to the rythm and the sounds of their keys. The latest of all were probably the policestations. And perhaps here and there we can still find some people writing on these machines. In my zazzle shop you can find the same design showed on different models, colours and the backside printed with logo and instruction. Plus they print larger and their quality of printing is very good! And some others…
ONE HUNDRED VIEWS ~ THANK YOU
I feel lucky enough I could react on time to get this moment. / I don’t shoot and expose a lot of animal pictures, but I especially like this one - /
Sebastian, Sebastian, the man I adore! / He’s handsome and sweet to everyone more / tall than he! He calleth , he calleth, his photo to take / and crieth, and crieth till a move I do make / to the camera. “Shoot, shoot!” he demands of his mom and his dad / until his calling and crying near to raving mad / drives his humans. He poses with roses, as proud as can be / A more human cat than Sebastian to see / we never expect. / / -=Dayonda / __ / Using Photoshop, I used the oil-painting feature on Sebastian, then did a charcoal background, and went over that with the ‘smearing tool’. These two features are available on most photo processing programs. I used Pic Publisher X, but an easy to find, easy to use, free one is Photo Filtre

Digital art inspired by my husband and his musical talents. :) Here’s how it looks matted & framed:
This digital piece continues my musical themed series I’ve been working on for a week or so. Working on this series has brought me so much joy as I reminisce about the musical memories and influences in my life. I found the awesome silhouettes at Wikipedia commons and just had to find use for them. They fit perfectly into this concept. :) Created in GIMP.
