Hey! I stumbled upon this while trawling through the Creative Pro section of Apple.com.au RedBubble: Creativity online Melbourne, Australia: In early 2007, the creative, technology and business skills of three friends gave birth to RedBubble, an on-line creative community and art gallery. Designed specifically to help photographers, artists and graphic designers display and sell their work on-line, RedBubble is emerging as a driving force in the Australian creative scene; and delivering the technology foundation for the company’s success is a broad-based Apple strategy…. • Porcelain Server is another in the Kaleidoscope Garden works. Starting out as a single Orchid the flower just took hold and I followed along. Over the course of several hours, this work unfolded into the image you now see. A delicate piece of porcelain with the sheen and depth of a hand crafted piece of art it sits beautifully on a silky satin table cloth for all to enjoy. I hope you enjoy this piece of work and the others in the series as each takes you on a different journey and new opportunities to experience peace and space and to simply stop time for as long as you need. These pieces were created with one hope, to provide you with a muse to slow down and explore your world in forgotten ways.

  • One of my most valued possessions is my bone china tea set that I bought when I was in England many many years ago. I was on a day trip with a tour group to visit Warwick Castle and then head up to Shakespeare’s birthplace, Stratford on Avon. Our guide was what I believed to be a typical English gentleman. He carried an umbrella though it was a sunny day. He was reserved but very knowledgable. As we were riding along on the bus I got the nerve to approach him. When I asked if I could speak to him, he gave me a delightful smile and waved his umbrella a bit and told me to sit down for a chat. He told me a lot of history that day … most of which I have long since forgotten. But he did me the one favor that I asked of him. He had the driver stop at a quaint shop along the way so I could buy an authentic English bone china tea set. It was the one item that I knew I just had to bring home with me. He seemed pleased actually with my request. So … this is it! I’ve had it since 1981. It is a part of me now. Please enjoy …and stop by for some tea later. —Judi

  • Once reserved for the boys in the church, this position has been open to girls for quite some time now, and my daughter was proud as could be to serve. Father Rick Eldred was an awesome priest and mentor, and all-around wonderful influence on everyone in the parish. :)

  • Copper veins and arteries / Created from Cat 5 / Moves data blood that we don’t see / That keeps network alive / / Capillaries of Firewire / As well as USB / Add to the massive quagmire / To grow the network’s tree / / A knight known as an analyst / Intelligence his game / With brains instead of brawn and fist / Keeps network dragon tame / / This fractal artwork was inspired by the infinite complexity of many networks, such as the internet that is presently the ultimate network. It is also for every poor soul that has ever dared to venture to the backsides of their own computers or entertainment systems as well. This is dedicated to our son-in-law, Jake, who makes piles of money as an accomplished network security analyst, and provides our daughter with a wonderful life because of his proficiency at his trade. Cheers Jake! / / The concept of the artwork was to first show the infinite complexity associated with most networks, and second to show the similarities to the veins and arteries that make up the organic networks in our world. / / The original is 6000×6000 pixels at 300 pixels per inch. The fractal was created in Incendia. The only post-processing was adding the borders in Photoshop. I have included a few detail cutaways below so you can see the detail. The detail cutaways are at 66% of the original size of the artwork. / / / / / / / /

  • Is working via a proxy server safe?

Sorry to bother you with still another journal in connection with my problems of being cut off from Redbubble via the normal route. Yes, the link via my provider UPC is not working yet. / Once of the other victims here in the Netherlands suggested to go to Redbubble via a proxy server (http://proxy.org/cgi_proxies.shtml). / This is what I am doing at the moment. It offers the opportunity of writing comments at last again, but I cannot enter my groups. I have not yet tried to load up a new picture, as I am still pretty much in doubt about this server. / Does anyone of you know more about such a proxy server? Is it really safe to use it? / Actually I get the note here that I have not enabled java script. That may be the reason why the proxy server does work only partly. I have really no idea. I may be a reasonable photographer, but the computer and the net, well, for me it is as it is with the car, I can drive it, but cannot make it run …

  • Decided to challenge myself. Thought it would be good for me to do one painting a week in one sitting. No multi-session work on these paintings. Figured it might push me to look harder. To be bolder. To boldly go where. . . wait a minute. How’d Star Trek sneak in here. I keep a blog with these paintings commented on in detail, if you’re interested. Just go to http://paintedsouldreams.blogspot.com/ Bottomline. . . here’s a gallery of works that are one session paintings. Time to let them get some air on The Bubble. 7” x 5” / acrylic on panel collection the artist
