Whilst traveling in the north of Namibia in a 4wd, we could go almost a whole day without seeing anyone. We’d set our tent up in the middle of nowhere, wash in streams amongst desert elephants and wake up to wildlife surrounding us. Seeing animals in a NP like the Serenghetti is thrilling, but to enjoy it without another tourist in site for miles is a different experience altogether and one of the most exciting to date.
Here’s a photo of my little girl taken noon today basking in the warm sun at the local beach. I just find this image very relaxing
I am lucky enough to live right next to a forest so I took the kids bush walking and got this photo of the sunset through the long grass.. I just really liked the golden tones and I had a different grass image but have taken it down and replaced it with this one.

Sisters under one big sky and Sun / glowing in the light, two hearts as one Across the miles we may physically be / though our souls entwine, like roots of a tree Petals of light and love, soft as we share / and blow the seeds of hope across the air Hopeful to destinys’ crossing of our paths / to the joys of our meeting one another at last Until time allows, we’ll be content in kind / to share across the miles and seas our like minds As the Moon shines full in the darkness of truth / we’ll revel in her beauty dancing in our youth… tkrosevear 3/10/2009 WindOwl Inspired by all the sisters I have come to know and feel deeply within my heart and soul. LOL I was originally going to colour her very gently with wax and soft pastels…but she became more and more vibrant as I went along. Perhaps the colouring says something of how vibrant we become when we are well rested, balanced and relaxed.

Captured on 11/21/09 at 7:21 am in Anderson, California, the sun was trying so hard to shine through the fog…it finally made it after several attempts…..the fog was so dense at one time that our back fence was hardly visible….I love the golden yellow glow as the sun shines through the fog. It was so quiet….. Please view in large format for optimum viewing / /
