This image was taken on 9/11/2002. I had to go to a quiet place and there I discovered a beautiful sun setting into Lake Michigan.

As you can see in this image there is actually some water at Kennedy Point, one of te arms of the river of Eildon. I don’t know how long it will be there but lets hope Eildon will be back to its former glory someday! This is Lake Toledo Bend at a park that is known to some as Site 7, but to most of the people around where I live it is know as The Ponderosa Park…and it happens to be my absolute favorite spot for sunsets….And This particular image is from 2002 and has remained one of my favorite sunsets from this spot… Thank you for Looking! The sun sets over a calm ocean in stunning yellows capturing a sail boat in silhouette. Taken at Redondo Beach, California. Scan from film. Shot on Kodachrome 25 with a Nikon FM-2 and a 28mm f/1.4. Exposure unrecorded but was set by metering from the sky at about a 30 degree angle with the sun not in the frame. This was a grab shot. I just happened to be standing there talking to someone when the sailboat happened by.
