The Bridge on the River Kwai in thailand is famours for having caused the deaths and suffering of allied soldiers in WW2. Not too far form the Bridge, is the JEATH museum (stands for Japan,England,America/Australia, Thailand, Holland – the nationalities of those who constructed the bridge) about the construction of the bridge. A bit further along the road is the Allied war Cemetary. It is beautifully maintainened by the local thai people. One flower has been planted on each grave. This week, I will show a new flower from this cemetary corresponding to different soldiers, every day. This is my favorite path that is very peaceful and serene. I have several photos of this lovely place in sepia and color. The path that is the group avatar for the healing journey is this path in sepia with the light at the end, symbolic of entering a new realm. In autumn, the leaves are vibrant and looking at this path one can feel that you are there. The solitary man walking the path is on a journey he takes everyday to clear his mind and feel miles away from the stress of city life only minutes away. This photograph was taken in the Topanga State Forest. Viewing this beautiful scenery in the larger format will give you a more intimate feeling of being there. Sally Omar, a poet on RB adds dimension to this image with her beautiful poetry. When I am in my golden years / Finished with all my fears / There is an Autumn Path I intend to walk / With no frivolous talk / I will want peace and serenity / No more play then for me / Walking there enjoying the view / Life again will seem brand new / The path will be so bright / Filled with richness and with light / No more worry about convictions / Or life’s many restrictions / I will travel the path alone / Happy to once be on my own / No more anxiety / I will finally be set free / I will forget the past / And the happiness will last / Tired from life’s drudgery / The Autumn Path is all I see /

Very still morning in the Catskill Mountains, NY.
The calm powerful serenity that only nature can provide…
Sunset behind the bluffs over the lake makes beautiful reflections disturbed only by a slight breeze over the water.
Canada geese cleave the autumn colours on the mirrored surface of Crawford Lake in southern Ontario. Core samples from the sediments of this small lake revealed spores from cultivated corn and led to the discovery of a nearby Iroquoian village complete with the foundations of long houses, the traditional dwellings of the native inhabitants of this area. The village has been replicated and is open to the public, a frequent destination for school groups. The waters of the pond itself do not mix vertically and, consequently, only the surface layers have oxygen and support small fish and turtles. Organic material descending to the bottom is preserved, for lack of the oxygen needed for decay – hence the discovery of several hundred year old cultivated corn spores. The First Nations people undoubtedly enjoyed this picturesque woodland idyll much as it appears in this image.

Influence of nature. Graceful curves. The wispy lines resambles branches and leaf motif on this piece. Enjoy it!
