I made a monochrome version of this image at the suggestion of Danielle Bailey . If you’re seeing this, I hope you like it Danielle. It was a great idea of yours I think. I quite like it in BW.. Thanks! If anyone may be interested in this but would prefer one without the red border please let me know. /

Painted from photo reference With focus on muscle stretch over bone, this is my first oil on canvas painting inspired by the New York City Ballet, Serenade.
Just having a little fun with photos I took of the male and female painted bunting. This consists of three layers, one of the male painted bunting, one of the female, and one of a flower in my garden. I copied and pasted the layers on top of each other, adjusted the opacity slider, added the dry brush filter to each layer, and then topped the whole thing with a slew of butterflies, using the brush tool.
So love, this is my song; / Here is a song, a serenade to you.
..am feeling at peace this morning, because it’s cold & windy out there but very cozy in cyberspace lol! ...this wonderful poem written by sweet Sally Omar ...SERENADE OF SOULS . / “it was a low whispering / a murmur ever so faint / that drove me closer to heaven / for pictures it did paint / i could hear love and peace / and murmurs of total joy / a serenade so profound / for only me to enjoy / it was a time when i was lonely / and felt no one was my friend / i was somewhere in limbo / close to the edge to the end / suddenly in the evening / when all the lights were turned low / the murmurs started / they started out very slow / i could hear so much love / a choir of Angels did sing / and in my loneliness / heaven and peace they did bring / the voices got a little louder / and spoke of the love of our Lord / Jesus is our Saviour / and in the end is our reward / from that day forward / i danced toward the heavens so sweet / knowing my Lord and Saviour / one day I would meet.” by Sally Omar / a first experimental digital creation using apophysis & flower photo from my garden… ...

Monarch Butterfly enjoying a solitary nectar feast on one of my butterfly bushes. I love the polka dot effects on these beautiful butterflies, as if they are dressed up, in their finery, to go dancing on the flowers! Origonal image taken in Shady Cove, Oregon Thanks for viewing and commenting!
In Pen/Ink/Marker/Watercolour THE LAW OF THE CAT Always give generously. A small bird or rodent left on the bed tells them, I care. Climb your way to the top. That’s why the drapes are there. Curiosity never killed anything except maybe a few hours. Find your place in the sun. Especially if it happens to be on that nice pile of warm, clean laundry. If you’re not receiving enough attention, try knocking over several expensive antique lamps. Life is hard, then you nap. Make your mark in the world. Or at least spray in each corner. Never sleep alone when you can sleep on someone’s face. Variety is the spice of life. One day ignore people, the next day annoy them. When eating out, think nothing of sending back your meal twenty or thirty times. When in doubt, cop an attitude.
A path between the Aspen Groves. I loved this fence and the strong lines. The fence runs diagonal through the shot with the Aspen trees running verticle and the shadows from the fence running horizontal. Taken in Telluride, Colorado. /
