view of Sennen Cove from coast path north of Lands End
In the far south west of Cornwall only a mile from Lands End, sheltered from the Atlantic storms by Pedn-men-du Headland, tucked into a corner of the wide sweep of Whitesand Bay, with Cape Cornwall and the Brisons Reef – the only Cape in England in the far distance.
Sennen Cove, Cornwall. Sennen Cove Harbour supports a small fleet of commercial fishing boats ; and is home to a fleet of small pleasure-fishing boats. The largest boat is about 5 metres overall length. There is an electric winch to haul the boats across the beach and onto the slipway. Close by there are lobster pots testifying to the continuation of the local fishing industry. Thank you for looking. !
More of Sennen Cove Harbour, Cornwall …. Thank you for looking
Sennen Cove Quay, just around the corner from Lands End in beautiful Cornwall. A small fishing village, unspoilt. Thank you for looking.

In the swiss Alp (‘Sennen’), the Cows (‘Grauvieh’) guards the Roads, both the smaller and the bigger, it seems! :-) / They have to move, before you can move! Rough sea and sunset. Beyond the lifeboat slipway taken in Sennen Cove Near Lands End Cornwall
Taken while walking the south west coastal path – these steps are looking down toward Sennen Cove, the little “spike” out at sea is Lands End lighthouse and the little blob at the bottom of the right hand posts is my dog running up to us (just shows how long and steep these steps are) A 3 shot hand-held HDR
Whitesand Bay is situated a few miles from Lands End on Cornwall’s rugged North coast, a very popular destination for water sports enthusiasts and moreso for people like myself who enjoy the natural beauty and peace of the location. I took this image from the high ground above Sennen Cove looking down and along the mile long golden sands of Sennen Beach towards Cape Cornwall, some three miles in the distance. The pink flowers in the foreground are Pink Seathrift and they grace the coast of Cornwall in early Summer, there were only about six people on the beach the day I was there and they were walking along the beach watching the Atlantic waves rolling in, so peaceful. Just back from a wonderfull week in Cornwall. This was sunset on the last evening at Sennen Cove near Landsend…...what a finish to the week . Had been watching 7 basking sharks here during the afternoon too :)
Taken on the very last evening of a weeks holiday in Cornwall at Sennen Cove . The only decent sunset we had all week but boy was it worth waiting for! :)
The warm, clear water of Sennen Cove , Cornwall, on a sunny morning in early June ....yep….got wet feet :)
This is the path that rises from Sennen Cove in Cornwall and leads you to Land’s End. Taken against moody skies with patches of sunlight as the sun continued to try to break through. This was a gorgeous walk and well worth it rather than driving straight into Land’s End!
This view is still a little walk from Land’s End but less commercial and far more memorable in my mind. Taken in Cornwall on the path from Sennen Cove to Land’s End.
Another pic from Sennen Cove on the south-west tip of Cornwall. Shot back in June , and after a week of dissapointing sunsets, nature gave us a break on a last night :) Once again thankyou so much for all your comments and support x x Canon 400D + sigma 10-20mm
