Just getting started on this Art Selling journey. I am really excited, but I have to admit, at this point, I don’t know a thing. I have saved but it would be so handy if I could sell a few images, can anyone give me ideas on what sells. I understand that this kind of thing doesn’t happen over night but I will try anything to get my foot on the ladder. / thank you x

These shanties are mostly illegal squats, pre-dating official planning maps of the area and modern housing codes. Local government turns a blind eye so long as they remain occupied, but if a resident has no descendant to take them over and continue habitation, they will be torn down. Tai O has an aging population. Most younger people do not return here to live once they complete school, instead opting to move to Hong Kong island or other parts of the New Territories to find work or start families where there are more opportunites. Work here has steadily declined since Tai O’s hey-day in the 1950s as years of intensive fishing have left local fish stocks depleted.

Apparently my teenie tiny town is having a city wide garage sale. I can rent a table at the busy intersection (yes there is one) and set up shop. I was thinking about printing some of my photos and seeing if anyone was interested. I don’t really have anything to lose. I bought a Canon photo-printer months ago and it’s just been sitting in the box. I may need to clear an area for it. I’m not sure what I would do about frames. I might buy a few cheapies at the store. If I had more time I would like to try my hand at making a few out of barn board. I still have to think about it. just an idea

Their laughter first attracted my attention. They were gathered around a kiosk across the passageway. I suspected that they were on a break from the nearby convention center. One of them was trying on some hair extensions, edged on by her friends. The kiosk attendant was trying her best to obtain a sale. The noise had attracted the woman on the right, who was just strolling by.
