19 February, 2008 It all started with a TV screen shot. I got then inspired to start a series of compositions called The colours of love. This artwork is the first in this series. Hope you enjoy it as much as I did creating it. —- A very dear RB friend of mine surprised me beautifully about a year ago and bought a canvas print of The colours of Love – Mother and child. How do you think I feel when I think this composition is on a wall in Australia? / Crushed. Humbled. Ecstatic. And then crushed again. / / —- 28-13-1302 - 09-11-15 / 35-17-1379 - 09-11-20
Corfe Castle is a ruined castle, village and civil parish in the English county of Dorset. The castle dates back to the 11th century, and commands a gap in the Purbeck Hills on the route between Wareham and Swanage. Even to this day, all road traffic to and from the Swanage area must pass below the battlements of the castle. The picturesque village of Corfe Castle lies in the gap below the castle, and is some eight kilometres (five miles) south-east of Wareham, and the same distance west of Swanage. Both the current main A351 road to Swanage, and the Swanage Railway, thread their way through the gap and the village. The civil parish of Corfe Castle stretches across the width of the Isle of Purbeck, with coasts facing both the English Channel and Poole Harbour. It therefore includes sections of both the low lying sandy heathland that lies to the north of the castle, and the rugged Jurassic Coast upland to the south. The name “Corfe” is derived from the Saxon word for gap. All photographs and artworks in this portfolio are copyrighted and owned by the artist, Anne Staub. Agathe had arthritis all over her poor body ,she couldn’t stand it .Sometimes she was just raging of pain .She passed away the 14 of april .I wasn’t there to say goodbye but I’m sure she knows her hands will finaly be on R.B.I asked her for some shots of her twisted fingers and she agreeded with such pleasure ,she asked me several times when I was going to do it .I went to see her just in time a week ago.She was so weak that she couldn’t hold to little butterfly.I felt so sad but at the same time I was happy that she used the rest of her strenth to do that shot she wanted so much. She was always on oxygene and stayed still all day long the last few weeks.I ‘m sure she’s not suffering anymore .By! Bye! Agathe…xx

I decided to get my daughter out on photoshoot. Took her down to the river bank and sat her up on this big rock there that has a plaque of some desciption on top of it. Thought i’d put a flower in her hands for something a little extra. When I got home and looked at the pictures a decided to try doing it in black and white with the red flower. Looks great i think! Yes their back! The ladybirds from Mount Burr made an emergence yesterday with thousands massing in a number of spots within the forest. This group were huddled together in their hundreds on a power pole just above ground level. As with all things in life there is always one or two who stand out in a crowd. We should never forget to Honour those Men and Woman who fought and fight to protect us against tyranny. I’d like to say thank you to Stuart Chapman ( The Tide Is Often Out ) and Philip Golan Remember Them for allowing me to use their images Thank you soo much. FOR THE FALLEN With proud thanksgiving, a mother for her children / England mourns for her dead across the sea, / Flesh of her flesh they were, spirit of her spirit, / Fallen in the cause of the free. Solemn the drums thrill: Death august and royal / Sings sorrow up into immortal spheres, / There is music in the midst of desolation / And glory that shines upon our tears. They went with songs to the battle, they were young, / Straight of limb, true of eyes, steady and aglow, / They were staunch to the end against odds uncounted, / They fell with their faces to the foe. They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old: / Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn / At the going down of the sun and in the morning / We will remember them. They mingle not with their laughing comrades again, / They sit no more at familiar tables of home, / They have no lot in our labour of the daytime, / They sleep beyond England’s foam. But where our desires and hopes profound, / Felt as a well-spring that is hidden from sight, / To the innermost heart of their own land they are known / As the stars are known to the night. As the stars shall be bright when we are dust, / Moving in marches upon the heavenly plain, / As the stars that are stary in the time of our darkness, / To the end, to the end, they remain.
