A reflection of me (as close to a self portrait as I want to come), in the eyes of a horse.
There’s always a time in someone’s life, where they can be sure they’ve seen better days, and just can’t remember them. Unfortunately, it’s this guys turn. Soon, the sun will shine again.

Ever felt like the life is beautiful “outthere” and want to break the glass barrier to smell the flowers? Trapped? Perhaps, but only in one’s mind. Undusted and republished: September 1st, 2009 / —- /

Acrylic abstract techniques applied to classic beauty’s face. Added text as wanted to, yet felt it worked as well. / At this stage I felt I was holding a lot of words & emotions that I couldn’t let pass my lips. / Hence, the expressionistic style I used, loosely applying paint, letting it drip and layer over eachother to create interesting effects to the face. painted by Nicole Whitty SOLD as a Canvas Print
CAPTURED THIS SUNSET NEAR A LAKE WHERE I LIVE IN FT PIERCE FLORIDA. I DO THIS ON A DAILY BASIS WHEN THE SKY IS RIGHT. I HAVE HUNDRED OF ONES LIKE THIS.
This was taken off the side of a highway in the middle part of Minnesota….flat, gray and very cold. We were on our way back home from our Thanksgiving trip and I begged my sister to stop when I saw this fence. :) The icy frost was amazing to drive in…miles and miles of it.

Prague seen from Petrin Lookout Tower (Petrinska Rozhledna), Czech Republic. More than one year ago, I’ve got fascinated by some overlay works presented in various PS fora. Last year, I found about RB and soon could admire beautiful composite works of e.g. John Edwards here at RB. Inspired by many of those images here at RB or elsewhere, I’ve been planning to put my hands on some overlay work too, but I only got to it in recent days, ultimately inspired by The Wilds Of France by onefourseven (thank you, Mat, both for inspiration and a link to textures!). / This composite is my first result on the theme, composed of my original photograph and three textures from cgtextures.com. Comments and suggestions welcome! Original photograph: May 2008, Canon EOS 300X, Sigma 28-135. Post-processing: retouch, BW conversion, curves, sharpening, sepia, color adjustment, shape cut, filter gallery, overlay by three textures from cgtextures.com with adjusted brightness/contrast/levels/color, color adjustment, blend modes; final file: 24 layers, 5540×3693px, approx. 1.5GB, color profile conversion 10min, saving time >5min.
Here is a happy creature – perhaps he is a pollen-breather and is brining flowers into bloom. In any case, it looks like a good life.

© Copyright 2009 Ivana Redwine, All Rights Reserved I started with a photo I took of a tree. When I took the photo, I wanted to capture the tree’s sculptural qualities. Later, I digitally manipulated the photo to create a more emotive, subjective work. I imagined what that particular tree might look like if it were depicted as an image that was halfway between a photograph and a painting. A hybrid of photography and art, this work blends what was captured in a photograph with digital artistic manipulation, creating a picture of what previously existed only in my imagination.
As we look at the scene before us, we see many lights in the sky. / And since man first walked upon this Earth, he as always wondered what they were, those lights in the night sky. / Has he became more aware through technological advances, he sort of understood what they could be. / And even to this day he still wonders, what hides in the great blue yonder. It draws us forever to explore the vast unseen, we know the substance of it, its there before our eyes. / But what do those lights in the sky really hide from our eyes. They hide the….... Substance – of things not seen This is my entry into the challenge ” The Substance of things not seen” And of course for me it would be about the void beyond this Earth.
