When I was young I met an old Indian man whose wisdom was as deep as the ocean. I asked him how to travel the right road? How to know what to do? And how to be a good man? The wise elder said, ” I have two dogs who live inside of me. One who is good and one who is bad. These two dogs constantly fight with each other. Each trying to win my thoughts, my heart and my soul”. I was astonished by his simple words and then I asked him the all important question, “Which one wins?” He paused and thought for a moment and then said, “The dog I feed.” visionary imagist “Joey”

I took two photos of this dandelion flower to get all of the parts in focus and then merged the two together.

I found these Poppy seed pods on our house hunting venture and just loved their shape, colour and texture and taking these photos definitely took my mind off the move! The name of this image came from my kids as they call them tiny honey pots. Enjoy.

This work is about the future that is inside of you. I was originally inspired to create this piece while I was listening to a speaker talk about how God sees us. That He sees us in our completed form; that there is a future YOU inside you right now. He sees all that you are capable of and placed that inside of you when He created you. / In my work I am conveying a majestic, tall oak tree, exists complete within a tiny acorn somewhere in the future. It’s the knowledge of the future that is the key to unlocking it and releasing it. All through spring, I put off the flower shots. Now all I’ve got is this one, tired and withering. And yet I still find it beautiful. Even as the petals curl and fall, it delivers its most precious gift of all – the promise of the next generation. When spring returns it will be born again a hundred times over. And maybe, just maybe, I won’t wait so long to capture them.
