This unusual type of tree was found growing beside a pond and wet lands. It had small, regular type ‘pinecones’ and then also had seed pods similar to some kinds of bushes. /
Taken at Portsea on the Victorian coast on 17.03.2008. This is the flower that appears before the seed pods in the preceeding two pictures. I hope you enjoy it. The only changes made were cropping and then enlarging. Thanks for looking. Comments and criticisms are welcomed.

A teeny- weeny story, / Recently I had a discussion with a very good friend about happiness. What makes us happy we asked each other and then we came up with things, like a new car, concluding that a new car can be necessary and fun but at the and it does not make you really happy. Both of us agreed that all those little wonders in nature make us happy. The colors, the patterns, the shapes and so on it is amazing and full of art. We talked about how easily you don’t look anymore and that you never are amazed how much beauty is around. I was thinking of this conversation when I took this photograph. It is a seedpod of a poppy. Rain and rotting removed everything between the ribbons of the seedpod and left only the little crown and those ribbons. To me what was left is a beautiful little piece of art. I took it inside my house and let it dry. Photographer: Thea Walstra / /
