Close up of painting cherry blossoms in the spring / Painted by Sebastian / Photo by Coralie Casey
Hurray for perfect timing and perfect lighting! Our son, Sebastian finally took a time out to bask in the afternoon sun shining through the window. Running around at 90 miles an hour can take a toll on ya! He’s never been this laid back… you stick something in front of his face and he’s gonna lick it!!! For some reason, this time he didn’t. Maybe he knew he was going to be famous? He has so many human qualities, and this photograph really reflects it.
My search for Eagles is premature I’ve concluded….LOL So I’ve turned my lens back to the ocean front and beautiful Sebastian Florida this morning.
Sunrise along the waterfront with golden hues.
Sometimes I wish boaters who come out early, could just launch their boats without disturbing the peace while they’re at it. But you can’t help but laugh at how clumsy some of them are just trying to clear the launch…..LOL
I woke up this morning and drove to this place thinking the sun was gonna come out. It did, but only a few hours after it poked through the clouds, so for now on I’m not going to trust any meteorologist that smiles…..LOL
MARTIRIO DE SAN SEBASTIAN-36” X 46”-ACRILICO Y TINTA SOBRE LIENZO-FEB.2007-ACRYLIC AND INK OVER CANVAS-IN INCHES
This image celebrates my love for renaissance paintings and the classical representaion of the nude. I have attempted to re-create the lighting, in an attempt to capture the warmth and intimacy of classical painting. The image is of Saint Sebastian before his persecution. His aura was said to have the strength to cured the sick.
Sebastian, Sebastian, the man I adore! / He’s handsome and sweet to everyone more / tall than he! He calleth , he calleth, his photo to take / and crieth, and crieth till a move I do make / to the camera. “Shoot, shoot!” he demands of his mom and his dad / until his calling and crying near to raving mad / drives his humans. He poses with roses, as proud as can be / A more human cat than Sebastian to see / we never expect. / / -=Dayonda / __ / Using Photoshop, I used the oil-painting feature on Sebastian, then did a charcoal background, and went over that with the ‘smearing tool’. These two features are available on most photo processing programs. I used Pic Publisher X, but an easy to find, easy to use, free one is Photo Filtre
Sebastian prefers to watch movies, but he does like to know what he’s looking at, so he piced up this field guide from the local hardware store. I’ve caught him reading it several times. / _ / RESCUED Sebastian and his sister Sabrina were rescued from the wood shed after their tiny mom hadn’t come home for two days. They were given to their “maiden aunt Nevada” to be supervised and taught the rules around here. / Sebastian, knowing he comes of royal blood, loves to have his picture taken, and will strike a pose and call me to take several frames. We quit when _he says we quit. . . As for reading—I once cat one of my cats reading the Sunday Comics! He looked embarrassed for getting caught at it. -=DS
Not a big fan of water, he’s a lot smaller when wet down than he is all dry and fluffy. He’s looking directly into my eyes as a friend bathes him, trying to send me the message that torturing of the Kitty should stop now! RESCUE Sebastian & Sabrina were rescued from the woodshed before they were weaned. Their mother went out for a night on the town, and 2 days after she didn’t return, we took in her 2 babies and “gave” them to our old maid, then 9 yrs old. She swatted each one on the head, then started to clean and cuddle them.
Abstracts from Nature / This was once a brown tabby cat. Honest! Sebastian, my photo-ham kitty had me take one last pose. They were all beautiful shots, but I could only send one to RB, so I made a copy of one of them and started to play with it in Picture Publisher 5. It was okay. Then I got ahold of Pic Pub 10, and played with the effects it had to offer. Then I turned ti lime green- it looked okay, but not “finished”. The use of Light Artist did what was needed- added the brass and brown tones, and sort of aged the brightest lime color. I’d like to have a sculpture of this some day. But I suppose nobody would understand it. Now you do, though. Unravel it and it’s a cat!
He wants you to pick up 15 pounds of furry, loving cat with meat-hooks in his hands.

It has been said that the Law of Attraction says people’s thoughts; both conscious and unconscious dictate the reality of their lives, whether or not they’re aware of it. Essentially “if you really want something and truly believe it’s possible, you’ll get it”, but putting a lot of attention and thought onto something you don’t want means you’ll probably get that too…..... This is another piece from the folio that I decided needed a facelift! Originally called Sunday, I gave it the vintage treatment, adding a couple of textures and blanching out the colour slightly, to resemble a postcard or memory of a past holiday or day off at the beach. This was taken at Playa de la Concha, in San Sebastian, the main beach in the port town. It was a beautiful day and our first day in there. A trip to the beach was well worth the long walk from the hostel. These changing rooms were up for hire, as well as umbrellas, sun beds and deck chairs. It is a beach full of activity and vibe. The Cathedral of the Good Shepard, San Sebastian, Spain This neo gothic cathedral stands at the end of a decently busy street and is a darkly beautiful building. The architecture is so intricate and detailed all over the spires and roofline. It’s a photographical dream of a building. It was built in 1880 and completed in 1897. Preservation of churches and cathedrals in Spain is of high importance, so it looks like it was built nothing more than 50 years ago! Simple adjustment of lighting in this one, adding an omni to create a darker mood of needed deliverance and salvation.
