Inspired by god(?) knows what I took about three evenings to complete this drawing. Walking towards the edge of a once flattened world, he realized his species sometimes need another consciousness which feels and sees the imaginary but possible paths living in more dimensions nowadays offers… That expedition sometimes requires to see things differently… In Einsteins world time is change… Nothing seems to be obvious. Although this lay in my room for about three months I finally finished one of my more precious drawings… This drawing often was some kind of therapy to me; hatching, and slowly building a world in which sadness, symbolics and anger found some relief… This serenity and silence might be before or after some storm… haven’t figured out what it is to me… What is it to you?! Due to some ‘mistakes’ I had to be creative and make the block in the middle totally black which made the drawing a little out of balance… therefore I made the whole more darker and placed some other blacks to compensate a little… 0,3 & 0,05 fineliner on Hahnemuhle Fineart Quattro paper, / 11,8×11,8 inch. 2009.

An idea based on a sketch which I made lately… Although I’ll add a few more lines and a little more contrast, it will be something like this. I resampled the original scan to somewhat smaller; otherwise you can’t see the minimal details haha.
