It was a beautiful still night on the beach tonight, only the sound of the waves lapping gently against the shore. Oh…and my dog…barking…insistently…wanting her football kicked so she could give chase.

It was a freezing cold December morning, and i had to stand in the mud to get the right angle for this shot. But the gold glow from the sunlight on the water transformed this bit of the river into an image that i wanted to look at again and again.

I was sitting on the seawall at my favorite manatee spot when I seen this Green Heron on the side of the seawall catching minnows and I got this shot. / And then this older lady came up to me and said, Did you know the bird name / Its name is Lucky. And she told me that the bird was tangled in some fishin line a year ago at that same spot. So two men jump into the water to untangle the bird but its wing was broke. / So they called wildlife rescue and then they took the bird off to fix its wing / once the bird was healthy it was released back at the same spot and now the Heron comes back every day now. I like the picture,but after hearing the story about lucky I like even more.

Taken on a Fuji Instax with some red acetate over the lens. It was a nice bright sunny day so I decided to try my first experiments with acetate over the lens. I got some very strange looks from the crowds sharing the seawall!
