A different perspective on the world. Also a nice seasonal picture. It’s a picture of glass globes that have been hanging in the front window at home and I took the picture through them into the winter wonderland outside. It’s not a recent picture, it was taken two, maybe three winters ago. Thought I’d put it up and let it get some exposure! I’m really happy with how it turned out! I hope you enjoy this piece. autumn colors in the forest

The cabin of Carter Shields Place makes a beautiful autumn setting as it may of been around 1830 or 40’s.It’s location is on the Cades Cove Loop Road in the Great Smoky Mountain National Park. It’s preserved by the Park Service and an example of early Appalachian structures.

The thunderstorm in this photograph was taken on the top-end wetlands late in the build up season…only weeks before this area was a dustbowl, yet weeks later it becomes a floodplain ! As the water passes by me so does the Autumn season. By the time I am able to return to this spot the colors will have mostly been blown unto the winds. Seasons pass so quickly, much as our lives if we live for today and not for eternity.

My new wolf friend seemed to like having his pictures taken – he stared “up close and personal” right into the lens. This image was 12 months in the making. The Avenue of Honour is 3km long and is the main entrance to the township of Bacchus Marsh, Victoria, Australia. It has taken on almost iconic status in the town, having been planted in 1918 at the sound of a bugle, as tribute to local people who enlisted in the First World War. Thought to be Canadian , English or Dutch elms, the Avenue now has about 300 mature trees and is classified by the National Trust.
