Icon #2 Point Ormond I am doing a St Kilda/ Elwood icon series. / I wanted to get the Point Ormond beacon. But when I climbed up there last night I realised the base had recently been encased in concrete and it looks horrible. / So I wandered down to the beach and took a shot of the city from Elwood with the beacon in the top right hand corner. I hope you like it. ICON Series / / / /
Colourful houses stacked onto the hillside around Brixham harbour in Torbay, South Devon, with the setting sun perfectly complimenting the illuminated shopfronts on the harbourside. A single trawler is moored beside the quay safely home from a day of fishing. The fishermen had their catch of the day, as did I. View the rest of our portfolio here Or visit our own website here
It wasn’t too cold… but it wasn’t exactly a warm sunny, Summer’s day. Probably because it’s Autumn! Christies Beach, South Australia.
A day at Christies Beach. Fantastic weather, slight breeze, birds flying north and lots of beautiful waves.
Grange Jetty, Adelaide, South Australia
I went to Granite Island with my Girlfriend recently. As we were walking around the back of the island the sun was setting. I felt it would be wrong to leave this scene without a memory of it, and as I had my Camera already setup, there was only one thing to do! Granite Island is located on the Southern side of the South Australia coastal town of Victor Harbor. It is attached by a Causeway. There is a choice of walking or taking a horse-drawn carriage that runs regularly during the day.

The Beachport Jetty in the Limestone Coast, the second longest in South Australia. The jetty is currently closed for repairs with most of the upper structure being replaced. The railway tracks and handrails have been removed and I believe the rails will be back up in time or the Christmas Holiday rush when the towns population goes from 450 up to about 5,000!!!! A rare chance to get a shot like this before the repairs are finished. Three shot stitch in Photoshop CS3. Canon 400D 18/55 with CIR Polarising filter.
Tonight has to have been one of the nicest sunsets I have seen in a while. The colours where unbelievable. This shot was taken about half hour after the sun had actually set and is straight off camera! No photoshoppery at all! Canon EOS 40d | Canon EF 17-40mm f/4L USM | 17mm 5secs f/16 ISO 100

Taken on the Sandhaven beach at South Shields, we were walking back along the harbour wall when we saw this classic view, the single child laughing with sheer delight and chasing the seagulls into the air. Converted into tinplate to gave that timeless air of childhood pleasures, while remembering this once was a main job of a young child on the farms before childhood was invented. / / Best viewed large
This single trainer was left on the beach by the retreating tide at Sandhaven Beach at South Shields. It’s white colour standing out against the colours of the beach, the almost perfect beachcomber photographer’s find. Converted into b/w with a Holga/film effect Best viewed large to get the mirror of the white of the shoe and the white of harbour point light house.
