I took this on a recent trip to Brighton, and got up early so I could catch some cool light, and the dynamics of what was a very rough sea… well… comparitively. Brighton Pier is one of the classic 19th century piers in the UK, amusements on the end, kiss me quick hats for sale and so on… Black and white has given the picture an edge over the colour version….

Sea urchins are small, spiny sea creatures of the class Echinoidea found in oceans all over the world. The name urchin is an Old English name for the round spiny hedgehogs sea urchins resemble. Their shell, which is also called the “test”, is globular in shape and covered with spines. The size of an adult test is typically from 3 to 10 cm. These urchin ‘tests’ were being sold alongside some large clam shells. Sold a Mounted Print on RedBubble to a Mystery buyer.

A crab had delicately made these balls at the entry to its hole on the beach….it just happened to be in the shape of a heart! / You can see the crab hole at the bottom of the heart.

Sailor by Cheyenne The Lighthouse: / Old and Beautiful, Tall and Bright as it guides my Sailor home in the night. / Dark and Stormy sea, / the Hurricane tosses, his Boat rocks, / water breaches it’s Deck. / My Sailor’s in trouble, / His Ship as it begins to sink. / All hope is lost, until.... / Until He sees Me, / My shadow cast out on the Stormy sea, / casting out miles away, / the powerful light within the Lighthouse, / guides my Sailor home again. / Safe and Sound, my True Love is found. / The Lighthouse stands Tall and True, perched on top a cliff, / Old and Beautiful. / A symbol of Our strong Love. / Faithful We are to It. / It’s faithfulness is forever to our Gratitude. This is a view of La Corbiere Light House in Jersey, CI, that I discovered for the first time this summer. This has become one of my favorites. I look forward to going again next year. I love seaside skies. They can be so romantic and sometimes mysterious, and the sound of the waves crashing upon the rocks or the much gentler shore line. A lucky photo of the lighthouse at Scarborough. I’d had my back to the lighthouse for some time watching the light falling over the south beach when I turned round to see a huge black cloud behind the lighthouse and this beautiful rainbow. I only had about a minute to get the photo I wanted before the rainbow faded and the heavens opened soaking me to the skin!

Located on Venice Beach, FL this beach did not have many sunbathers which made it easy to photograph. I loved the large clump of seagrass that was on the sand. Taken with a Canon XTI / f/8 / ISO-100 / 1/640 sec / 24mm
