  A Sestina, is a classic form of poetry in which all lines of the poem end in one of only six words. For “The Beach House” I chose the following words: leaves, waves, rocks, winter, summer and wind. As you will find the six ending words attach to a line in the first six stanzas. The seventh stanza is 3 lines in length and again the six defining words are within the stanza. Hope you enjoy. I must add that I find writing in form truly difficult and have tended to focus my poetry towards classical form writing.
