Image of a male Australian Fur Seal(Arctocephalus pusillus),taken at Popes Eye Marine Park,Port Phillip Bay,Victoria. There was a colony of seals in the area many very inquisitive, this big fella got closer than I would have liked a few times.I was fortunate to observe males play fighting & asserting there dominance by slapping there fins on the water & then attacking each other, dont know whether it was stupid to be in amongst it but it sure was one of those magical moments in diving. © Copyright M.Tworkowski
*Graphite pencil on Bristol Board Paper ;) This is the first in my new series~ “Can I Live Here Too?” I have embarked on a journey to help the animals that have just as much of a right to live here as we do…..sad to say that baby seals like this are clubbed to death to be skinned, everyday at alarming numbers, these helpless innocent babies anywhere from 12 to 28 weeks are being murdered in terribly painful ways….I saw in a video called Earthlings, not only did they club the baby to death, they tossed its mangled body to the side where I watched the mother seal morning her baby, I felt her pain, you could see it in her eyes….she was so beside herself in the loss of her baby….I cant for the life of me understand this, I am crying at this very moment….its not fair…I cant sit here and not do anything any more…please help me teach people the importance of animals and their right to live….. / As with all in this series 50% of any and all proceeds go to the Defenders of Wildlife: in my attempt to help….please help open people’s eyes and show them how to love…. Another way to help and save, Wear your feelings for everyone to see with a T-shirt!
I can’t help but wonder how all those marbles found their way into my head. Chinese checkers anyone?

This yearling sea lion still had the attention of mom when he came to shore. The care was evident as she nuzzled his face. The parents among us know that no matter how old they get, or how far away they move we never stop worrying, we never stop loving and we never stop caring! This image is dedicated to all the Moms out there who never stop caring. This image has been used a Mothers Day card and as a card for folks who have lost a pet. Thanks fot looking!
Arabesque anyone?

I love it when Udon lies down like this, he reminds me of a baby seal :D Just that maybe his eyes are not as big as those seals but he’s still cute nevertheless :D
“THE STORY OF DESTINY She was separated from her Mother who had escaped into the frigid waters, during the terrifying confusion of the seal hunt. Meanwhile the Baby floated away alone, on a tiny raft of pack ice. She drifted throughout the night, desperately calling for her Mother. Morning came and found her miles from where the humans had caused such panic the day before. After many hours of lonely despair, the two loving Harp Seals found each other; finally safe from the reach of the fishermen! Reunited again, the Mother in her gratitude, named her miracle child “Destiny”. ~ Skye Ryan-Evans © ~ This beautiful image and story was created to protest the annual seal hunt and to raise awareness of the beauty and gentleness of our precious Harp Seals. Not only are they endangered by rising ocean temperatures, but they also suffer huge losses at the hands of seal hunters every year. It’s time such barbaric activities were stopped immediately. 25% of all sales benefit the great harpseals.org. Thank you for caring about endangered wildlife.
Australian Sea Lion at Hopkins Island, South Australia / Sea Lions are Pinnipeds that is the same family as Seals and Walrus, but not exactly the same. / They are also mammals. / This SeaLion is endemic to Australia, that is it is only found in Australia. They are particularly found in South Australia and Western Australia. / As you can see they are very sociable and very curious.

I kept returning to this spot, night after night, sometimes it was raining or misty and other nights were simply ideal though a tad chilly … This spectacular natural rock arch, sculpted by weathering and erosion from the sea over thousands of years is well worth visiting. Here you can also observe a colony of New Zealand Fur-seals as they feed, swim and laze on the shore platform below. If you cannot see them you can sure smell them ! Admirals Arch can be easily reached along a boardwalk at Cape du Couedic.,Kangaroo Island, South Australia WARNING / ©2009 Globalphotos All rights reserved. / All photographs, text and images by Globalphotos are the exclusive property of Globalphotos – protected under Australian and international copyright laws. / These images may not be reproduced, copied or manipulated without written permission. / No use for Public Domain. / Use of any image for another photographic concept or illustration is a violation of copyright.
Design is a distressed version of a mon (Japanese family crest) I created based on an abstracted form for the chrysanthemum flower.
A Poem for this Piece by same Name / Practice Fish I want to be your slave / I want to be the queen you must drone on about / I want to be the corpuscles and the blood work / That says you will be dead without my infusion Typical physic paradigms / And lofty schemes / All to hold on / To / The someone that becomes / Casper the friendly ghost / Flying in to tell me that if I just follow / My dreams / He will too / From a café in Paris / He will read all about me! / His heart will soar. / To the ethers of forever / Whence we came, / He and I / By the by I am in the Andes. / Eating coca leaves and the bruja says / There is something a brewing / A storm is coming / A wind funnel is changing and I must go! / Run she says run run to your destiny / It waits on a wailing wall in darkness / Bring them light she says / That’s all that matters. / The light is all that will satisfy you! / But she is wrong / I think / I wanted to just be in bed with you / Hearty cup of tea and practice fish / Listening to the song of / Letting me go. / Oh shit / Even here you and the fish practice / The backstroke / To a place where you watch me / Find the light that old bruja said I should / Find / The only thing that will make me truly happy / She said, / But I don’t think so / I think / Smoking one last cigarette / After 11:00pm / With you would have been better. / But I don’t know that either, / Cause I can’t find that light.
