This is a shot of a Killer Whale that I captured while it was spy hopping off of the boat I fish on out of Dutch Harbor, Alaska.
We were fishing on the boat I work on out of Dutch Harbor, Alaska when this Sea Lion came off of the ice pack and when it surfaced to see what we were doing it looked like it had been smoking. I kind of had to laugh. Hope you enjoy!
after our Virginia mountain adventure we headed to the Jersey shore of The Wildwoods and went out on a 3 hour whale and dolphine watching ride in CapeMay N.J. Well since we had the most beautiful calmest day at sea we didn’t get a chance to see any whales but seen dolphine. /

This photo was taken Is part of the Pacific northwest Coastline. The rock jutting out on the far left reminds me of a Whale, I love the deep blue ocean and the wildflowers growing down the side of the hill. Photo taken by Canon IXUS

Blossom’s_Photo_Gallery Sea Shepherd / Steve Irwin The Sea Shepherd / Steve Irwin returned to port in Hobart, Tasmania from the Antarctic Whale Sanctuary, after completing the Operation Musashi whale defense campaign. Please take the time to visit the Sea_Shepherd_Conservation_Society Website While in Tassie we had the privilege to go on board the Sea Shepherd / Steve Irwin in Hobart and see first hand how the crew live in the most basic conditions and quarters while they fight the good fight for Whales, Dolphins, Sharks and other creatures of the sea. Many would think that the plight of Whales is the most important consideration, but it was explained to us that the survival of sharks are just as important. Sharks / On multi-faceted fronts, Sea Shepherd is waging an all out battle to save sharks from the threat of decimation. Not only does Sea Shepherd work hard to raise awareness and care for this unpopular species, we also patrol marine protected areas, expose corruption/greed, and arrest the criminals who drive the multi-billion dollar shark-killing industry. 100 million sharks are killed each year-by longlines, by “sport” fishermen, or by a barbaric practice known as shark finning. Hooked sharks are hauled onto boats, their fins are sliced off while they are still alive. These helpless animals are then tossed back into the ocean where, unable to swim without their fins, they sink towards the bottom and die an agonizing death. Whales / Sea Shepherd has been on the front lines for nearly three decades protecting whales from illegal whalers. From Japan to Iceland to Norway and elsewhere around the globe, Sea Shepherd’s direct action crews defend whales from slaughter. Galapagos / In the Galapagos Islands of Ecuador, Sea Shepherd is working with the National Marine Park service on anti-poaching enforcement and conservation programs. The Galapagos is our line in the sand. If humanity cannot protect such a unique and diverse ecosystem, we will not be able to protect any ecosystem. The Galapagos is a challenge and battlefield for the effort to halt human greed and destruction. These Enchanted Isles are a UNESCO World Heritage Site and this means all of us have a responsibility to help protect them from illegal exploitation. Dolphins / Sea Shepherd has been active in directly intervening where dolphins are threatened. In 1982, we negotiated an end to the dolphin slaughter of Iki Island, Japan. They sent crews to Taiji, Japan, in 2003 and 2004, and to the Solomon Islands. Seals / Sea Shepherd has been fighting sealers since 1975, and over the course of a quarter of a century we have saved hundreds of thousands of seals from slaughter using many different and creative methods. Sea Shepherd’s highly-publicized efforts have helped in creating awareness, which is the first step in enacting change. Canon PowerShot A650 IS Shutter Speed: 1/250sec / Aperture: F4.0 / ISO: 80
