View across the sea towards Central Pier Blackpool UK, shot from the North Pier when the storm was breaking and the light was striking the water. The ferris wheel is mounted on the pier and the Pepsi Max Big One roller Coaster, once the highest in the world can be seen in the distance at Blackpool Pleasure beach. One of a sequence that has had no manipulation in colour. This is how the shot came back from the printers…….(loss of) colour due to leaving the film on the dashboard of the car in full sunlight prior to developing. Going back to places I have been over and over before. Different tides reveal formations not seen before which is an incentive to visit the place over and over again…I am now looking forward to the low pressure system currently developing…interesting days ahead

Coral Sands and Turquoise waters along Warwick Long Bay, Bermuda
Some of the wild surf at Bells Beach and Winki Pop, created as a result of the strong, gale force winds during the previous day.
The constant parade of swells breaking at Bells Beach always thrills a surfer when they arrive and see this view from the carpark. Although on this day, it was only for the ‘brave and daring’ as the surf was the result of a very severe storm the previous day and was very heavy and a bit messy.

Canon 50D / 10-22mm EFS @ 16mm Surfers Paradise Beach the day after another tourist is lost swimming in unfavourable conditions. The lure of the ocean had claimed another life this week as a group of Chinese tourists when swimming off Surfers. / All week the warnings had been broadcast on the News of the dangerous conditions along South East Qld beaches, but it seemed too much of a temptation for a group of overseas tourists who ventured into the waters. / One 17yo lad disappeared in front of his friends at the main beach only to be found the day after this shot 5 K’s away on South Stradbroke Island. Coloured pencils, Art Pens, Acrylics on canson paper The sun and the surf are such a part of the Australian lifestyle… / time spent on the shore, / heat on my back, / warmth of the sand, / swell of the sea as she lifts you up and over the crest of the wave, / bubbles rising to the surface as you kick upwards, / salty crust on your skin as you dry off… ..... allowing the universe to unfold and play itself out through us …..Deepak Chopra NOTE: Copying and displaying or redistribution of this image in whole or in part, in any form or by any means, without permission from the artist, Danita Clark, is strictly prohibited.
