  • Another stop at a Greek Port, Cofru I think… I love the fact we dock at these industrial ports, there is just so much to see and take in… my kind of landscape for sure.

  • Lots of sea shells

  • Last Sunday I wend down to Sculpture By The Sea at Bondi Beach. The sky was amazing. It rained all the way down in the car (at 5am) then stopped as I parked. The clouds threatened rain for the 90 min I was taking photos, but then just as I was getting ready to go, a window opened up in the clouds and beautiful golden light streamed over the sculptures. The dark threatening clouds made the perfect backdrop. This image is a 3 shot HDR image. I printed this image up and it looks great in my hall… It has become one of my favorites.

  • Sea urchins are small, spiny sea creatures of the class Echinoidea found in oceans all over the world. The name urchin is an Old English name for the round spiny hedgehogs sea urchins resemble. Their shell, which is also called the “test”, is globular in shape and covered with spines. The size of an adult test is typically from 3 to 10 cm. These urchin ‘tests’ were being sold alongside some large clam shells. Sold a Mounted Print on RedBubble to a Mystery buyer.

  • I have always loved Sea urchins and have always collected them from when i was a child right up into adulthood. They would be the first thing I would look for when I got out of my car and my feet hit the sand on the beach. Suprisingly there arent that many to be found anymore on the beach where I have always gone to find them. sony ax 300 SLR 70 – 200ml lense.

  • For this one I waded out under the Sandgate bridge at dawn & took a 10 sec exposure @ f16. / Then I kept the camera in position & waited, waited, waited until the bird flew past and took a shot at 1/180. / Then I combined the two photos in a little program you might know called photoshop. / I can see this one working well on a large canvas.

  • Macro shot of the mouth of a starfish.

The Shell Maiden / / I come from the rain of sky and sea, caught / on the web of a shoreline daisy, braced low / and spinning in carnival delight with the / kiss of Pacifica’s mist. I come from the company of driftwood and seashells, bleached white as a wedding train waiting to be worn. The waves roll like a wedding march / announcing the union of land and deep blue dreams. / They bring a dowry of tangled vines and sand dollar spines, / and my heart says YES to this sailors treasure. I come from the flutter of dry seaweed, / no longer rich with Oceana’s brine, and yet / adorning the beach with seafoam flare, / like rice and petals clinging to the foot of a runaway bride. Bring me the delicacies of your wedding feast, snapped up in the yellow of a jealous lover’s bill, for I am treading softly here on honeymoon beds of ancient sand, / inscribing moon colored vows / on the framework / of whales. • Located on Venice Beach, FL this beach did not have many sunbathers which made it easy to photograph. I loved the large clump of seagrass that was on the sand. 50 blades of seagrass blowing in the wind! Taken with a Canon XTI / f/8 / ISO-100 / 1/640 sec / 24mm

  • One caught a few months back, and one of my favorites of the day, but for some reason I overlooked it. Was the first day I purchased my new Wide Angle lens for the 5D Mk II, full frame. I ended up buying the 16-35mm f2.8 L II, and she is a beauty! All I need now if the time to get out and capture more of the beautiful mother nature at work :) The wreck of the “SS Dicky”, at Dicky Beach, Sunshine Coast, Queensland, Australia.
