This, to me, really communicates the feeling of the Australian alpine scrub (bush, woods, forest). I always see scenes like this and try to imagine what it must have been like for the first white explorers with their bullock drays, horses and equipment struggling through it, hoping to find an inland sea, or wide plains of fertile soil. It really looks so foreboding, tangled and impenetrable. Taken at Mt Baw Baw in Victoria’s high country.

The fires of the past few days are horrific. Way too many lives have been lost, not to mention all the animals, birds, wildlife and domestic stock. Families are in ruins, homes are destroyed. I am doing all I can to help. You can too, by donating one of your images to the group, so funds can be raised to help everyone. Being safe in Adelaide, its the least I can do.
