    My son was delivered far too long after the breaking of my wife’s water. In addition, the umbilical cord was wrapped around his neck. As a result of these two occurances, he was born into the world as an unborn. Moreover, his exoposure to the “outside” world, which occurs directly upon the breaking of the placental membrane, led him to have a fever of 103 degrees. There was even talk of brain damage. Fortunately, he is now a fantastically healthy 10 year old, who had an essay reach the level of state finals: so much for brain damage. Then again, if he is to be a writer, perhaps I speak too soon.
