This reference is obscure, though the goggles were memorable. You’d have to search land scapes near and far …farscapes you might say… to understand this one. Artwork is intentionally rough; click for larger view. Do not expect photorealistic images; these are more like comic books.

Everything you will ever need to know about emotions, but are so afraid to ask… our scientists will tell you. Now you can set yourself free! Can’t forget what one sober Harvard University professor once said while drunk: / Man, know thyself… just ask one of us! / —-—— / This is part three of the trilogy of Emotions explained by science. The other two are: and
Iconic rocket that took us to the moon in the 60s.
Once away from the lights of our encampment I was able to look up and really see the big red lady in the night sky. / Thats the great thing about these exploration trips, I get to see some amazing skyscapes. / Standing here in the Swift crater on the moon Deimos , I think back to a time in the far past when Jonathan Swift described the two moons of Mars in his novel “Gulliver’s Travels”. A coincidence some say, to know that Mars had 2 moons, 150 years before their discovery in 1877. / Or maybe not a coincidence, maybe Swift visited these moons and the red lady above. / Maybe he even stood in this very crater named in his honour. There are many strange happenings in this vast universe of ours, so who can really say. As with all my work, best viewed in zoom mode. Just click the image.
An early winter storm approaches beyond Celt Tor, reflected in the icy cold waters of the dark loch.
2008-2009 Feb – Digital Painting An image which started in 2008 as a complicated exercise on my Cintiq. It remained unused and an unfinished project until recently for a SIGGRAPH.ca banner. The pretense is a dragonfly-type scouting vehicle which is operated by a human in the not so distant future.

In the far northern hemisphere of Saturn’s moon Titan, lies the future city of Ringsview. I say future city because this will not be built until man decides there is more to life than this small planet. That beyond our atmosphere lies our future Of course to do that, humanity as first to put an end to war, and step into the future with one mind, as one people. / To take the human race to the stars, to explore the lights we have looked at in the heavens for thousands of years. a painting of mirra from morgans book the alkara keepers / watercolor on fabriano / In a galaxy dominated by the Triaxan Empire, the last remnants of the Helassian Federation are the only resistance to a dark future ruled by Emperor Draegus. Striving for ultimate power, Draegus will stop at nothing to become the Apex, the pinnacle of all life. With the promise of peace he attended the Unus festival, where all Alkarans gathered as one. With the Alkara Keepers at their most vulnerable, Draegus massacred the only obstacle that might stand in his way. Orion, High Lord of the Helassian Federation and the last of the Alkara Keepers leads in exile. Forced to take his father’s place, he fights against the dictator that destroyed everything he knew. Sillel, the daughter of Emperor Dragus, awakens from her father’s prison and Orion discovers that he is no longer alone. The Alkara Keepers follows Sillel’s awakening to life and love as Orion struggles to find his destiny and rebuild what Draegus ripped apart. / http://www.alkarakeepers.com/
Art over the centuries as boldly gone where no art as gone before! Art as evolved with leaps and bounds, it as crossed a great many mediums. And it had to happen, here we have the planet Epsilon-Epsilon. The planet was purchased by one individual for the sole purpose of creating a work of art. The planet as thousands of cities and towns, all built as different architectual art forms, they are not populated, in fact there are no beings that live on the whole planet. / There is a reception center on the largest moon, the “tours” can take anywhere from 1 to 10 years to complete. The artist know as *Alienvisitor plans to purchase the entire solar system and all 13 of its planets, so one day the system itself will become the art form. This is but a small sample of said art…...the city of Flight, the architecture here is based on but not exact of his *Cities in Flight Series. Featured in Images & Ideas Group 25/07/09
We now know it is good fortune to run across a Mook, the largest inhabitant of this planet, about the size of a small villiage, and they’re fascinated with all humans much like Earth’s whales and dolphins are. / The first encounter with a Mook was by a crew member who’d fallen into a very deep crevasse, injured, and the Mook had gently pulled him to safety, then proceeded to softly “pat” our survivor on the head and shoulders while sending out a low frequency sonar-type signal. Later our crew member described “fear was quickly replaced by a feeling of well being and comfort, and being petted by such a giant creature resembled being tapped lightly with a balloon animal”. / Since then we have learned Mooks munch on the lichens, float in the sunlight doing a kind of photosynthesis, and they are always attracted to human activities. Also, if you give one a marshmallow, it’ll follow you around like a puppy. We like Mooks, they like us. Bunny’s lovely original fractal Elegance of Light: and the converted terrain object:
This was our away-team’s first look at the chosen exploration site, a beautiful chain of small islands in the southern hemisphere of this peaceful water world. / From orbit we had already learned quite a bit about the amazing life forms inhabiting the islands of Gloss, the first amazing fact is that there is no “food chain”, these silicon-based critters absorbed their nutrition from the sun, air, soil, and water, and therefore live in harmony without domination or competition. / The second amazing fact is their symbiotic relationship with each other and their environment; many of the smaller creatures literally join themselves together and with other forms to become like another creature, perform tasks as a team, then disassemble and move on to other work. There is a level of communication among all these life forms that’s often audible as musical twitters and electronic squeaks, bass notes, burbles and just about every other sound effect you can imagine, the overall effect is quite humorous, especially observing the ant-like industry with which all these creatures perform their chores. / Please follow along as I document the highlights of this memorable exploration. All images in this series are based on the beautiful fractal Once In A Dream by Owlspook: Here is the converted elevation map where it all started:

The 4th piece of my Flyland Series. / This song inspired me After the explosion of the planet which created the soaring islands, this bride was separated from the one she wanted to marry. Her knight soared away on another Flyland…....and she stayed alone with his horse and thanks God – this old hut which gives her shelter. She is so thankful for the grass growing on this little Flyland, and the straw in the hut….it keeps her warm at night and helps to feed the horse. / She wonders if she will meet her knight again, she doesn’t even know whether he survived…...... / _____ Thanks a bunch to Joseph Auquier for the stockfoto of the lady on the horse. / _____ / Digital Painting done in painter, based on a 3D Vue Rendering and some postwork. It’s taken me a while but here is another completed version of late night digital work, completed over the course of would you believe almost 1 whole day, my little one, seen here is very demanding and having had so many computer virus’s lately crashing my system I’ve had to format and reinstall from scratch many programs etc.. I started this at 3am saved it in bits and pieces and resumed around 12pm.. I’m totally exhausted. / I used several layers a total of 20. Wings created using brushes I created from a birds wing. / Light rays created totally in CS3 from a curtain whereby I took the main focus of the shimmer and turned it into a brush effect, reduced the opacity and worked in another few layers, added the warped vignette, my sig also on reduced opacity & to finish it off played with the contrast & colors until I was satisfied with the result.
