It was a promise to myself that i would continue shooting this magnificant tree. I really wanted to get this image back to the original angle that i first captured it some months ago. Now finally i have it, and i’m happy with this result. A large file is what i wanted as the bigger the better for these giants. / I think the structure and movement of these beauties are highlighted better and hopefully you like it too. / Photographed in Fitzroy Melbourne 2007

I popped into a natural health store in Napa, California and happened to have my camera handy. I stumbled on this wide array of incense sticks and chose to shoot them for a texture and color play. I kind of liked the way it came out…a bit compartmentalized—but still rather cool to see it this way, yes?

This dreamy vision of fragrant Frangipani brings back to me the heavenly colors and scents of this alluring tropical flower which I was blessed to enjoy today in my friend’s garden. Ani l’dodi vdodi li – I am my Beloved’s and Beloved is mine. This image is deeply symbolic to me as it represents my relationship with Yeshua. He is my Beloved, i love Him passionately and i am His. He loves me like no man ever could, deep in my inner being where soul and spirit meet. This golden ring is the symbol of the never ending love He has for me with the words from Song of Songs written through the center. These words are taken from the love letter He wrote to me and were forged in the winepress of death. He holds my soul in His hand and protects it from the harshness of this world. I wish you too could feel His Passion and oh if you could just smell His garments you’re heart would melt. His eyes are like pools of water and my heart leaps to hear His footsteps. His shoulders are broad and His heartbeat steady as i lay my head on His Breast and smell the clothing steeped in His scent. His words are whispers, heavy with love and i desire Him. The soft gentle light forces the darkness away and ushers in the silence filled with anticipation. His lips brush against mine, His mouth tastes sweet and i am consumed with passion for Him.

Pouring rain forced us off the beach at Direction Island and into the shelter of the forest. Our senses were buzzing with the sound of rain and waves, the rich saturated colours and the scent of summer rain. / Direction Island is a much-loved anchorage for yachties, cocos locals and visitors, but no one lives there permanently. We shared it with about 10 people on this particular day.
