  • Panorama of 14 images and around 300 degrees fov….Taken from near Hansons Peak ~ Cradle Mountain N.P. ~ Tasmania ~ Aus. / A beautiful scene surrounded by the Autumnal tones of the Fagus. Taken late in the day when the cloud layer lifted and around the same time as a couple of single shots of this place I uploaded a short time ago. As always, I lugged my heavy pano head everywhere I went trekking. Often questioning whether it was worth it as it weighs down your pack considerably..I thought if there was any a time to use it, this was it..! clambering up over rocks to this vantage spot and fired off a few pans. Finally trekking back off the mountain in the dark but very happy with the days efforts….thanks for having a look and any comments…cheers, Rob. / ps, and yes, I’m getting towards the end of my Tas collection…finally..!! Still a few pans to work on from the Tasman though..

  • The beautiful, unspoiled, relatively isolated (until I opened my big mouth) Val di Funes, in the northern part of the Italian Dolomites. Each year when we visit the Dolomites (home from home – remember I AM a marmot), we try to get to spend a few hours, with a picnic (make mine an Asti Spumante!) in this peaceful and amazing place. Unfortunately, the vista here faces north – we need to try and get here earlier/later in the day for a clearer shot of those jagged spires.

  • A Conversation With the Clouds Captured at an elevation of 11,990 ft (3,655 m), standing atop Loveland Pass is like being able to touch heaven and the clouds. When I captured this, the slight hint of the scent of snow was in the air, and conditions up here can change literally by the second. It is right along the Continental Divide, and the views from up here are simply paradise! Processed in HDR and captured on my Minolta 5D using a Minolta 18-200 DT Lens and a Hoya Polarizer http://www.redbubble.com/products/configure/5778657

  • Part of my Egret Series. This is a compilation. The sunset was taken on 09-27-08 in Arizona. The egret was blended into the image along with the water (flood plugin) and the rock was created using the pen tool and shading. Fractalius was applied to both images prior to blending. As you contemplate your day’s end, is all well with your soul? / / Hope you like! Add me to your watch list now / My Bubblesite

  • Upper Antelope Canyon – USA 2008 The Navajo name for Upper Antelope Canyon is Tse’ bighanilini, which means “the place where water runs through rocks.” Upper Antelope is at about 4,000 feet in elevation and the canyon walls rise 120 feet above the stream bed. Though dry most of the year, Antelope Canyon runs, and sometimes floods, with water after rains. It is the water, slowly wearing away the sandstone grain by grain, that has formed the beautiful and graceful curves in the rock. Wind has also played a role in sculpting this fantastic canyon. / WARNING / ©2008 Globalphotos All rights reserved. / All photographs, text and images by Globalphotos are the exclusive property of Globalphotos – protected under Australian and international copyright laws. / These images may not be reproduced, copied or manipulated without written permission. / No use for Public Domain. / Use of any image for another photographic concept or illustration is a violation of copyright.

  • Like a star with no light remaining, void of all purpose and all alone in this world, she sits. Alone, the wierd and strange of the unfamiliar environment surround her. It envelopes her equally unfamiliar body which now feels the cold, damp air crawl over her, as if under her new skin. She lifts her head to see past it, but fog of evil regret, of passed mistakes, obscure her view. Darkness keeps her comany now, something she has never witnessed before, although, she has heard many people speak of it, of their fears about it. Fear, a barrier that she will have to learn to overcome, or to live with, like the mere mortals she has tried to protect from it – forever til this point. Cast out, she beckons death! Cast down, like torrents from Heaven, all power, removed from her very soul. Fallen! Its a sad day when Angels fall.
