  • Spring was early that year, the weather was beautiful, I had a new camera and a new lens to play with. What better to do then to go for one of your favorite hikes and try to capture some images from it? This image was taken in Belgian protected nature area “Het domein van Kiewit”. You can find this image as a wallpaper on my wallpaper website

  • A small water fall, on the Snake pass in the Peak District, not quite frozen, unlike my feet from standing in the freezing cold water!

  • The Golden Gate Bridge was barely visible in this dense morning fog. From a cliff overlooking the bay, the north pillar was visible as well as a misty outline of the San Francisco skyline in the distance. Built in 1933, the bridge was completed 5 years later in 1937. It is a part of US Highway 101 and State Route 1, and is the only road to exit San Francisco to the north. A bit of trivia: The suspension bridge is 8,981 feet in length and is 200+ feet above the water. It has a total of approximately 1.2 million rivets holding it together. Another view of the bridge: ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Please don’t copy or download this image. My photos may NOT be reproduced and/or used in any form without my written permission. • The snowy peak of Quisiquisini and Lake Chungara from around 14,000 feet (4300 metres) in the Lauca National Park, northern Chile.

  • This stream is within the Cascade Range and Modoc Plateau natural region of Northern California. It originates from underground springs and flows to Lake Britton, getting larger along the way to Burney Falls. This volcanic region is surrounded by mountain peaks and is covered by black volcanic rock, or basalt. Created over a million years ago, the layered, porous basalt retains rainwater and snow melt, which forms a large underground reservoir. The water then emerges as springs at and above Burney Falls, where it flows at 100 million gallons every day.

  • Swan Bay at sunset just a couple of minutes walk from the center of Queenscliff. Taken at the same spot as a few other of my other images of Queenscliff. Click here for my other seascapes

  • These mountainous type hills are near Superstition Springs Mountains outside of Apache Junction, Arizona. The small creek pools in this area, giving in return a wonderful reflection.

  • This is another angle my wife Camellia did of corner rock creek. I think she really captured the moment.

Snake River Canyon is a large canyon formed by the Snake River in the Magic Valley region of southern Idaho. It is well known as the site of an unsuccessful 1974 attempt by Evel Knievel, to jump it in the Skycycle X-2. In the past it was generally believed the Snake River Canyon was created by a cataclysmic flooding of Lake Bonneville approximately 14,000 years ago. However, geologists now believe that while the canyon was shaped by the flood, its basic structure predated it.

  • Image captured at dawn in the Sukhothai Historical Park. The Historic Town of Sukhothai and Associated Historic Towns is on the UNESCO World Heritage List.
