I loved taking these shots at Yellowstone National Park, Wy., because the colors are amazing there, and the volcanic activity etc is also amazing…the park is not to far from where I live and I figure all the volcanic activity in my own mountains could even be related to Yellowstone. The earth is very much alive in this whole area. I mean several States, and if you hike you will find even more that you would never see any other way. Mother nature is full of peace and rage both, and this is a perfect example of that to me.

Rock formations at low tide. Taken with my 5D and the EF 16-35mm f/2.8L II USM lens. This is a 82mm lens and I am currently using Cokin Filters (handheld).....uuuuurrgh. I am very keen to get a Lee Neutral Density Filter set. If you have this setup I would be very interested to hear from you what experiences you have made in regards to vignetting and what Lee components you have mounted on your lens. Thanks heaps

Yosemite National Park – April 2008 Dragged myself out of bed at 7am with a raging temperature and flu in minus temps. Skated with tripod along an ice covered bridge to re-shoot this waterfall after a corrupt CF card, anything for a shot huh?? “Rainy Day On The Mulberry River” / Fall has arrived!!!!! As Is…...... / Canon PowerShot S3 IS Sometimes during the fall season, Arkansas is subjected to rain storms rolling in. It makes the light for photography a bit more difficult, but it doesn’t dampen my spirit because it sure adds mood. With the cool air meeting the / warn air, in comes the fog, adding a warmer touch to the otherwise bold colors of this fall scene along the Mulberry River. This shot was taken by turning off from Highway 23 South, also known as the “Scenic Pig Trail Bypass”, on to Arkansas State Highway 112. Captured 12/13/2008 on a very frigid morning at Cherry Creek State Park, here in Colorado, I froze my damn keester off because I was dense and forgot to bring along my damn jacket! It was an incredible sunrise folks, one which I won’t forget, the colors changed and developed by the minute, going from the cool blues to the warm pinks, reds, and oranges…and I was able to get something in the shots which I had never had been able to before, the lake actually shimmering! In some of the other shots in days to come, you can really see this, and you kind of can here in the bottom left side a tad, an odd occurrence, and one I finally managed to snag! Long exposure, using my Singh-Ray CPL and Marumi ND4, on my Minolta 18-70 DT Lens, I hope ya all like it, let me know what ya think! / —-John !

This is a closer view of the storm at our pier in Holland Michigan. Just after this happened I received a big splash with the wind.. I got wet and the camera got a bath.. I had a big paper towel to wipe it off and pull out the battery.. No problems .. Gads.. Its hard to imagine how much of a water surge is going on.. But let me say that the pier has about 8-10 ft of clearance from the walking area of the pier until it hits the water.. None of my friends would go out there to help with the perspective figure that.. Hope you enjoy.. This is the first upload not using dial up.. It would take about an hour to do so.. LOL.. / Chuck..
