  • Rocky Mountain National Park, Colorado…..and how I love shooting up there when the winter weather begins to roll on in…the wind is bad, the air—-freezing cold, but the images that one can capture are filled with atmosphere and drama, case in point, this shot here. I about froze my butt off getting this shot of Mummy Mountain, but I wanted something that really showed all the detail here….that represented what it’s all about being a nature photographer in Colorado…... / Thoughts welcomed! / HDR blending used to bring out more dramatic light and detail / John

  • Shortly after the dream, the mountains breathed out a morning glow across the still surface of a murky glacial lake.

  • Many dreams are forgotten or lost by the time we awaken fully, but that is not usually the case with dreams of flying. Flying dreams are very often a precursor for lucid dreaming; a dream state in which we are aware we are dreaming and can manipulate the outcome of the dream. Freely flying as high or as low as you wish using your arms or feet for direction, often with the ability to do acrobatics in the air is an indication that you feel really superior about something in your life. Once in a while, a flying dream will not go so well, such as when you can’t take off or you lose altitude or something is in your path and you can’t fly past or through it. / Surrealism art prints / Digital art prints / Fantasy digital art wallpapers

  • Late afternoon on a snowy day, County Derry, N. Ireland. Taken with a Canon EOS 50, Fuji Reala iso 100, +2 exposure compensation. Scanned, resized then post processed with levels and curves and a hint of usm. The day I took this photo, a snowy fog came down, and I lost all sense of directions. I wandered about for ages, very cold, and getting really scared.

  • A Conversation With the Clouds Captured at an elevation of 11,990 ft (3,655 m), standing atop Loveland Pass is like being able to touch heaven and the clouds. When I captured this, the slight hint of the scent of snow was in the air, and conditions up here can change literally by the second. It is right along the Continental Divide, and the views from up here are simply paradise! Processed in HDR and captured on my Minolta 5D using a Minolta 18-200 DT Lens and a Hoya Polarizer http://www.redbubble.com/products/configure/5778657

I also was not driving . So when we came up to this favorite tree of Amber’s. I asked for Kathy to stop the car.. The snow was coming down pretty good.. I do so love the view here.. Hope you do too.. / Chuck P.S. For those who have seen Lord Of The Rings… This Ent Wife is facing to your left. Can you see it ??? One For The Den

  • Captured 12/13/2008 on a very frigid morning at Cherry Creek State Park, here in Colorado, I froze my damn keester off because I was dense and forgot to bring along my damn jacket! It was an incredible sunrise folks, one which I won’t forget, the colors changed and developed by the minute, going from the cool blues to the warm pinks, reds, and oranges…and I was able to get something in the shots which I had never had been able to before, the lake actually shimmering! In some of the other shots in days to come, you can really see this, and you kind of can here in the bottom left side a tad, an odd occurrence, and one I finally managed to snag! Long exposure, using my Singh-Ray CPL and Marumi ND4, on my Minolta 18-70 DT Lens, I hope ya all like it, let me know what ya think! / —-John !

  • Sienna and I wish you a very Happy Holiday Season!!! In August, I took this photo of Sienna watching the birds through my patio door. For this digital compilation, I replaced the “outdoor” scenery with a picture of a snowy pine tree from my yard, added snowflakes, and a slight orton effect to add a dreamy effect for the holiday season!! I really don’t have too much time on my hands…. my housework, holiday wrapping, cards, and cooking are waiting for me!!!!!
