  • Blue Berg
    by Krys Bailey

    US$4.84–US$129.20

This berg was as big as a house! We were bobbing around in a little lifeboat so we could be close to these and get some photos. Our main ship, the Skorpios III, although happy to plough through ice flows would not venture closer than 1 kilometre to the glacier face. The glacier in the background is the Pope Pio XI, the largest glacier (I think) in South America. Southern Patagonia, Chile.

  • Location: Vineyards near South Rd Aldinga Beach, South Australia I wasnt happy with the light & colours on the origonal, so I made some adjustments (to the extream I saturated it). I’m watching these vines every week to see how the light changes on them at differnt times of the day. I’m also going to watch the seasons change. I love the lines & wont to get it just right. • “The good you find in others, is in you too. / The faults you find in others, are your faults as well. / After all, to recognize something you must know it. / The possibilities you see in others, are possible for you as well. / The beauty you see around you, is your beauty. The world around you is a reflection, a mirror / showing you the person you are. / To change your world, you must change yourself. / To blame and complain will only make matters worse. / Whatever you care about, is your responsibility. / What you see in others, shows you yourself. / See the best in others, / and you will be your best. / Give to others, / and you give to yourself. / Appreciate beauty, / and you will be beautiful. / Admire creativity, / and you will be creative. / Love, / and you will be loved. / Seek to understand, / and you will be understood. / Listen, / and your voice will be heard. / Teach, / and you will learn.” ~ Author Unknown

  • A rough day on the beach in Byron Bay does not deter the keen surfers from getting a peice of the action. Notice the rays of sunlight coming through the clouds down towards the people entering the surf.

  • Be thou the rainbow in the storms of life. The evening beam that smiles the clouds away, and tints tomorrow with prophetic ray. / / Lord Byron (1788-1824)

This composite, a matrix panoramic image I created using four of my photographs taken on Makena Beach Maui Hawai’i. Gerald May writes in The Awakened Heart ~ “There is a secret set within each of our hearts. It often goes unnoticed, we rarely can put words to it, and yet it guides us throughout the days of our lives. This secret remains hidden for the most part in our deepest selves. It is the desire for life as it was meant to be. Isn’t there a life you have been searching for all your days? You may not always be aware of your search, and there are times when you seem to have abandoned looking altogether. But again and again it returns to us, this yearning that cries out for the life we prize. It is elusive, to be sure. It seems to come and go at will. Seasons may pass until it surfaces again. And though it seems to taunt us, and may at times cause us great pain, we know when it returns that it is priceless. For if we could recover this desire, unearth it from beneath all other distractions, and embrace it as our deepest treasure, we would discover the secret of our existence. You see, life comes to all of us as a mystery. We all share the same dilemma – we long for life and we’re not sure where to find it. We wonder if we ever do find it, can we make it last? The longing for life within us seems incongruent with the life we find around us. What is available seems at times close to what we want, but never quite a fit. Our days come to us as a riddle, and the answers aren’t handed out with our birth certificates. We must journey to find the life we prize. And the guide we have been given is the desire set deep within, the desire we often overlook or mistake for something else or even choose to ignore. The greatest human tragedy is to give up the search. Nothing is of greater importance than the life of our deep heart. To lose heart is to lose everything. And if we are to bring our hearts along in our life’s journey, we simply must not, we cannot, abandon this desire.”

  • Mornington Peninsula Sorrento ’’ St Pauls ’’ surf beach. /

  • The rockpool was soon submurged as the tide rolled in cutting off the foot traffic across the causeway, leaving the many small boats to ferry passengers across to the island.

  • One Heart ~ Hamoa Beach Maui Hawai’i One of my favourite places to be in the morning or evening, on this lovely black sand beach beneath the Keawe trees….it is so beautiful and the sand is luxurious! “Was it the wind that whispered your name or did you call to me from the depths of my soul? As the wind descends from the heavens and cools me with its gentle touch, your love surrounds me, / flows through me, / having no end, / no seam between your heart and mine. / We are one heart and one soul. A feeling of the greatest love encircles us both. / No matter how far apart we are, this longing burns inside of me for your arms to encircle me and your lips gently upon my lips. / Then I am complete. So hold me my love and never let me go. / Even if tonight it is only in your dreams, / because I am holding you close to me as I drift into a dream of you my love” / ~ Poetry by David Stanley Bell
