A short hike above the famous turnout and view of the valley I found some trees to frame the most famous Mtn. Valley in the world.
At Day’s End As the sun goes down over the front range mountains of Denver, Colorado, the Sunflowers turn, in anticipation of the sun coming back up in the morning. Photographed in a field where all you can see for miles and miles is Sunflowers….billions of Sunflowers. An entire sea of yellow and gold….caught in my lens for a fleeting instant, where the whole world was at peace…. I took this pic, while walking my dogs through the woods in the rain. I just couldn’t resist this ‘red carpet’.

/ / I took this shot in Banff National Park, Alberta, Canada in the fall of 2006. I could have stayed here all day soaking in the view. Photomatix to process. / / Featured in: / / Real Life Art Group / All Countries – Streams, Brooks, Creeks, Rivers Group / Rivers, Lakes & Dams / / —-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—- / About Me… / / I have always had an interest in photography. I can still remember my very first camera that my parents had given to me when I was about 8 years old. I took that camera everywhere and snapped shots of anything and everything, however it wasn’t until much later in life that I was really bitten by the photography bug. I was planning a big move to the Canadian Rockies and thought now is the perfect time to buy my new camera gear for shooting wildlife. I bought all the equipment I needed that would put me up close with all the wildlife that the mountains had to offer. So off I went chasing Bears, Bighorn sheep, Moose, Elk and Wolves… pretty much any critter I could capture with my lens. It was a fascinating and thrilling experience. Then fate brought to me a girl and she would change my life forever… Newfoundland is where I now call home, with my beautiful wife and baby son. This province is a photographer’s paradise. The scenes change from day to day and the opportunities for capturing them are endless. With my camera in tow I now begin my journey through Newfoundland, photographing and capturing her raw and rugged beauty to share with the world. I hope you enjoy the photographs presented here. The rugged and treacherous coastlines give way only to the unforgiving North Atlantic Ocean. It is a coastline marked with lighthouses that act as ever watching sentinels to welcome weary travellers home. It is a land of beautiful & quaint coastal towns, villages and cities. Newfoundland is a land visited by frozen giants from the North that create a sense of awe when seen by human eyes as they float down what is known as “Iceberg alley”. It is a land visited by massive whales during the summer that attract multitudes to the shorelines. It is a land rich in history and folklore and it is a land inhabited by a people who will welcome you with open arms. It is a land you need to visit… Newfoundland… In Living Color, captures the raw and rugged beauty of a landscape still yet untouched and marred by man’s corrupt hand. It is a tribute to a true Eden and its people that dwell there. / / / Visit my website On The Rock Photography / / SOME OF MY FAVS / click on the image to link to that image / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / /

Completed 2004 age 18 I was inspired by the Japanese artist Hiroshi Senju, who tends to limit his colors in his paintings. Sometimes he paints an image where the background is the complimentary colors of the subject. His style is simple but at the same time intense, where the foreground stands out from the complimentary background. Medium: Watercolors This is a painting done in my sketchbook. The paper isn’t watercolor paper, but at least more durable than regular printing paper. Deep in the Weald, three trees line the path, paying little heed to the walkers passing by. /
This is a shot taken in Spring of the bluebells that carpet the floor of the Weald. I remember playing In and Out the Dusty Bluebells as a child at school. I wonder if it is still played anywhere today? In and out the dusty bluebells: All but one of the children stand in a circle, hold hands, and then lift them up into arches. The remaining child weaves in and out of the arches to the tune of In and out the dusty bluebells, In and out the dusty bluebells, In and out the dusty bluebells, Who shall be my partner? The child then stops and stands behind one of the other children in the circle. While they all sing the chorus, the child behind taps on the child’s shoulder in front. Tippy tippy tappy on your shoulder, Tippy tippy tappy on your shoulder. Tippy Tippy tappy on your shoulder, You shall be my partner. The child behind then gets hold of the second child’s waist, and they weave through the arches together, with the remaining children cloing up the circle. Thetwo then pick a third child at the chorus, and so on, with the line getting longer and longer until the last two in the circle foorma an arch, one gets chosen as the last partner and the last child starts a new game in the middle. How simple life was then.
The world is about to end because of global warming. Temperatures are soaring, ice is melting, glaciers are retreating, seas are rising, and we’re all going to fry. We’re all up to here with worry about it. The Royal Society says there’s no longer any room for scientific doubt about it. Britain’s Chief Scientist says it’s a bigger threat than global terrorism. / Every global warming sceptic is denounced as clinically insane. Every developed nation wags its finger at every other (well, ok then, at America) and tells it to Emit Less. Every politician and B-list celebrity now anxiously measures his or her carbon footprint. Every British schoolchild is now drilled to believe that man-made global warming is a Fact along with poverty and the existence of Belgium. It’s a wonder any of us has any incentive to get up in the morning. :) Online Galleries: / Surrealism art prints / 2d3d graphic design software / 3ds models max software

Impressionist, painterly / two boys doing what they do best in the rain. Digital painting is an emerging art form in which traditional painting techniques such as watercolor, oils, etc. are applied using digital tools by means of a computer, a digitizing tablet and stylus, and software. Digital painting differs from other forms of digital art, particularly computer-generated art, in that it does not involve the computer rendering from a model. The artist uses painting techniques to create the digital painting directly on the computer. / I create the painting, directly on my PC, by using a Wacom tablet, a stylus pen and ArtRage painting software. The Wacom tablet can be compared to a canvas or watercolor paper surface. The stylus pen is my paintbrush.
