Everytime I was washing the dishes in front of my window I kept looking at that fantastic scene .The snow had covered all the roof and at the same time my window ,it was completely dark ,until the snow began to melt .What a sight but I had to remove the icy snow with my hand and push inch by inch the window to open enough so I could go through the small window and take some shot .You should have seen me ,all wet and very happy of my idea. / I called it «communion» because ,at first the two icesticks were just one and melted until they got separated but it looks like they are reaching to get together again.The drop is the communion between them,a« metaphore» but for me it was magical.It’s like the time is suspended….. /

With some advice from my Brother-in-Law, who I envy bigtime with his work. / He gave me a tip which I missed, to crop this photo a bit to remove a few things. I was so busy doing the coloring and trying to find the right tones. I totally left out the most important part. / I figured I would re-post cause it looked so much better to me this way. “A thousand Yellowstone wonders are calling, ‘Look up and down and round about you!’” John Muir – 1898 The temperatures were in the single digits on this cold, snowy January day at West Thumb Geyser Basin, which is one of the smallest geyser basins in Yellowstone. A incredibly scenic area along the shore of Yellowstone Lake, West Thumb only has a small amount of geyser activity. However, the basin more than makes up for it with its diversity. Despite its small size, it has paint/mud pots, hot springs, pools, lake shore geysers, and fumaroles. Fumaroles are small openings that release steam and other gasses. You can see in the foreground the muddy, soupy waters inundating the paint pots. The white area beyond the tree line in the right hand side of the photograph is Yellowstone Lake. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Please don’t copy or download this image. Just Past Summer It was a time you let go / And caught the wind / Absent a rudder to slice your way through / Just Past Summer, / You let go of wondering how to Love, / You did. / Colors / Blended into one voice / Truth / Beating swiftly / Like cream does to butter. / Just Past Summer, / A fire as big as a sunset / Was started, / Using all the dried up dreams / And the gutter remains. / Rich you said, / Smell the smoke, / Sacred release. / The ashes you spread out like a table / Serving doubt and loneliness / Featuring a cold vichyssoise that had / A hint of Hope. / This hint you said, / Will complement the rest, / Fear not. / Dessert was three layers of / Rich longing, / Covered with a double dark / Butter cream of Love. / Always Love / You said… / Then off you went, / To catch the boat with no rudder, / On a warm Chinook breeze / That took you to Just Past Summer.

This landscape was made in Terragen. The terrain was a gift from a friend. I designed the water, covering for the land, and the sky. This is not photography; this is a digital landscape. It is purely a figment of my imagination.

While traveling, one can come across several intriguing places by chance… Sometimes you are not prepared enough or even carrying a camera to capture an image of the place that captivates you…but it leaves a deep impression in one’s memory which you can recollect…and I painted that memory…to the best I could recollect of that moment…this was one of those chance visits to the riverside in Greenford, England during one of my several walks…

Fishermen at the Silvrettasee (Silvretta Lake), Silvretta, Austrian Alps. / After a day-long hiking through the Silvretta mountains, I was deeply impressed by the peaceful mood and green-grey beauty of the Silvretta Lake. Ice-cold waters rushing from the glaciers of Piz Buin and its neighbours created an amazing abstract form of the lake shore.

I posted this image earlier and then got a request from one of my former students to create another version of the same picture, this one as a Cajun Christmas card. In her email to me, she wrote, “Yesterday, I found out I relapsed… A tumor that was dormant for two years awoke from its slumber… so back to the battle… and you know this Cajun is going to fight like a true Cajun!” I’m dedicating this card to Robyn and to her fighting spirit. I hope that everyone who views this card and reads this entry will pray for her to win this next round of her battle with cancer. Robyn is a gifted athlete who abounds with humor and the Cajun joie de vivre, joy of life! Please spread the word; united prayer is powerful. And a very Merry Cajun Christmas to you and yours!

PATCHES OF DENSE FOG Ushna Sardar patches of dense fog / I sat in a patch of shade under a belief / I was enjoying a purple patch and spent thousand moments in fidelity / fidelity to my principles / the fidelity of the faith to keep calm us in heart’s realm— / the perpetual moments of faith / I lived for years in a perpetual state of faith and compassion / my religious belief was always hedged with doubt though / a way of hedging against balance risks / hedging against protect myself against problems / especially against losing faith / I felt there was no fear though / time peaks covered with perpetual faith / and bliss sometimes I found life made me feel hedged in and restless on some point / Time offer wasn’t hedged around with all sorts of conditions / I wanted to reduce the risk of losing & making a mistake by supporting more than one side in a competition, an argument / I hedged my bets by applying for various other direction and path / but all I found that I fenced by usual routine of life / restrict freedom / surround with a fence / divide one belief from another with a fence / divide one heart from another / fenced with barbed wire / different belief / different faith / the different colour of skin / How can humanity work with these perpetual interruptions? / One end of the heart had been fenced off for the hope / I was sitting in the fence / and thought that I would prayer / I would kiss the sky / and prayer for hearts are fenced with barbed wire.— / a little prayer to unfenced eyes from partial blindness / Kiss the sky and prayer for those fenced by a moment of blind panic / kiss the sky and prayer for skin that couldn’t breathe long in the air of discrimination / what if you allow skin to breathe / what if you open the heart and let air get in / through kiss to the sky to open heaven’s door without any discrimination on the grounds of race / kiss the sky and plead for mercy / so sky will mercy on us / we go to put us at the mercy of the bank? through the kiss and plead for the open doors for all / look at the sky with pleading eyes / so God mercy on us / without any discrimination of race, colour of skin and religion / plead for mercy / so we could get out from fear / through the kiss to the sky / so human could unfenced from barbed wire— / through the kiss.. / so humanity can breathe without fear / without boundaries / without discrimination / without barriers / do we effort to learn discrimination between right and wrong? / positive discrimination / the ability to judge what is good, and true? / we can learn? / can we? / through the kiss .. / close your eyes / make a wish / the hearts are open / the heaven’s door is open / Go through this gate, and you’ll see the house on your left— / through the kiss /
