On the return trip from the East Coast Trail in Bay Bulls, we spotted this beautiful red fox lying down in the grass on the lawn of one of the houses.

This is a large vulture of some sort. They were located just out side the Africa Primate building. I didn’t get a chance to see what they are called.

We just got over a power outage that started last night at about 7pm. The house was freezing, the kids were off from school. We had about 2 inches of ice which bought down power lines to about 50,000 homes! We made it thru the night with lots of covers! but by morning it was getting much much colder!! So we decided to pack up the kids run some errands and spend the day outdoors! The weather got warm and beautiful! Of course I took the camera!! And here is one of the shots I got! These seagulls were just hangin’ out at the river (which was also very high! the docks were underwater!). Well, thanks to the great work of our electrical employees they had our power back just before we walked into the house!! They got our back!! Thanks guys!
