I have noticed that all of the comments and critiques I have received on redbubble have been positive. While that is all good and I appreciate it, I am a fan for real harsh criticism. I have not sold a single piece so there must be something I’m doing wrong.. Is it the price, the content or is my profile picture too scary for most? I welcome you to view my portfolio and really tear it apart in terms of harsh critiques, suggestions, what you DONT like… and what you do like. I want to know why you don’t like it or why you do like it. Why does it float your boat, or why does it grind your gears. I recently made a new little character, Raiyuki The Lil’ Angel Now she is composed of very bright colors. On a rb print she looked great. On zazzle.com, she looked great on everything. However when I went to upload her here on shirts, she looked hideous. I mean really bad, her skin just took on this Gothic tone and the shirt was more scary than cute….I had to delete it immediately. I’ve had problems with rb and their color representations here before. I wanted to know if there was a way to counteract that. What does everyone else do? I was thinking of abandoning shirts here entirely, but it’s still just a thought. In the mean time I might only upload shirts on zazzle, they have way more options for shirts and the colors look great. Click What do you guys think? Vestque

For anyone who is following the haunting that is going on in my house, this here is an update of more activity. For anyone scratching their heads and saying, “haunted house? what?”, check out my first post Last Night I Talked to a Ghost [a.k.a. My Widget is Haunted!]. Well, about a month ago, one of my family members (who prefers to remain nameless) went through something similar to what I had previously been through. This family member was awoken in the middle of the night because they thought someone had their arm around them, but when they woke up there was no one there. It was as if an arm was wrapped around them and they swore up and down that it was caressing them. The entire bedroom was checked for intruders but no one was ever found. A few weeks later, my partner and I were watching a television show with my brother and we heard a door slam shut from upstairs in my younger brother’s room. He was not home at the time and no one was awake upstairs. When we went up to investigate, the door to his room was slightly ajar, and he ALWAYS keeps his door closed at all times. We all got freaked out and went back downstairs. Later that night, my partner and I were in our room watching the show Paranormal State. We had Moxy’d (sort of like Tivo) several episodes. I was on the computer, surfing Red Bubble, when I felt a cold chill all around me, so I got into bed. During one of the episodes, I felt something brush by my feet, which were hanging over the edge of the bed. I started to cry. My partner thought I was crying because the show was so scary. But, he knows me better than that and asked me what was wrong. I told him that nothing was wrong. During the last one we were watching, which was a very freaky episode about a house with a demon in it, I told my partner to change the channel because something just felt wrong in the room. As soon as I said that, I felt as if a hand had come down on my right foot and was resting there, squeezing down on my foot. Tears literally poured from my eyes as I yanked my feet up. My partner changed the channel, but the TV screen scrambled. He sat up and told me to tell him what had happened because he knew I was never afraid of TV or movies. When I told him what had happened, he grabbed my hand and said we should go downstairs and have a glass of water. When we came back to the room, the TV was working just fine. On a side note: I have several Rosaries and Scapulars (from my Catholic upbringing) hanging in my room. Before leaving the room, I noticed that one of my Scapulars was hanging awkwardly from where it had been previously hung. I pointed it out to my partner and he said that we had probably bumped into it or something. The next day, as I passed by the place where the Scapular was hung, it was gone…missing. My partner found it later that day at the bottom of a clothing hamper. We have no idea how it could have gotten there or who put it there or why it was at the bottom of a hamper when we had just seen it hanging up the night before. Maybe it was just a coincidence. But I think it was the spirits. And, just the other day, we were all about to have breakfast, when all of a sudden we heard a radio turn on. We all looked at each other and then got up to investigate. We found the cat lying next to my brother’s radio boom box, which was turned on and playing music. The cat was asleep with his head against the speaker. Now, this radio is not easy to turn on—it is actually very complicated, so I doubt Milo Kittlesworth was the responsible party. Now, as I have said before, I have no reason to lie and I concede that it all may just be coincidence. However, too much has happened to make me believe that it is not the work of the super natural. I welcome any and all opinions. :)

Fascinated by spiders, ‘Long Legs’ Luke underwent an extremely dangerous procedure to change his appearance. Now, unable to fit in to the norm – he is forced to live amongst the creatures that inspired his transformation. (Scroll down to see the process) Here is the basic process I went through to get this image – it may help some of you! PROCESS / This Shirt took many hours to complete and it started with a simple sketch - Then, once scanned into the computer, I changed the colour to a light blue and ‘traced’ over it using the Pen Tool in Photoshop. I had an effect on each layer to show only pink outlines. Then, Once it was all traced, it was time for colouring, adding and modifying any awkward areas. The shirt he is wearing is Flaming Zebra White So there you have it! It’s not a detailed process, but it may give you a basic idea of how I set up my designs. Now go check out the shirt! :) Close up

I have been feeling very…down lately in regards to my photography. It’s my only job, and even though I get a lot of people saying how ‘wonderful’ it is, I am earning nothing from it. So I have been questioning staying in the field. This morning I woke up to my inbox full of emails from Jpeg Magazine My photo ‘Scary Movie’ (which can also been seen in my gallery here) was featured as ‘photo of the week’. It can be seen on the homepage, and also went out in the newsletter. It got over 900 views in a few hours! I couldn’t believe it. And it seemed like all my friends knew about it first, because I got a lot of ‘congrats’ messages. So I guess there is reason to keep pushing my photography a little harder now, even though I can’t afford to. haha! Has anyone else thought about throwing in the towel? What made/makes you keep taking photos? Do you have any advice for me to help improve my business?

It was late…. a hot summer’s night. I arrived home to a dark, empty house, and a slow walk up the garden path, telling the kids to wait in the car until I got a light on. We entered the house and I set about getting the kids ready for bath and bed. Unbenown to me, someone had followed me into the house. Under the cover of darkness he had been lurking in the garden and used my tired state to assist him in entering my safe little home. / And he was about to make his presence felt. The back of my neck prickled and I rubbed it, thinking my shirt label was annoying me. Nothing there. Then I felt it. He put his arms up my shirt and ran his fingers down my spine. / I froze. His small hairy hands tickled my back, gently, tenderly. Deceptive. I called my son for help. / “I think I have something in my shirt,” I said, “Can you check?” / I held up the back of my shirt and he took one look, screamed and ran from the room. Does the colloquial expression “I damn near shit myself” spring to mind? / (I promise I did not..er…do that….... but there was a bit of a frantic leap in the air and a strange dance…....arms flapping….as I had to separate this huntsman spider from my person! LOL / But then, I did the right thing and put this big hairy guy back out in the garden where he belonged, unharmed…... though maybe he was as scarred by his experience as I was!!!

For Halloween I thought I would put my story The Haunted together with the images so you can get into the mood of the ghosts and goblins that will be running through the night. Enjoy and dont get scared. ‘-) The Haunted I received some items in a box the other day from my late uncle’s estate. As I was going through some old letters and papers I ran across some items that were very strange to me. you see my uncle was into old haunted house’s, ghost’s and such. I have never believed in such things, but what I came across in his items even boggled my mind. In the mid 1920’s he was investigating a house that was supposed to be haunted in Kansas City. I remember my father talking about it when I was a kid, he said my uncle went alone to the supposed haunted house to check it out; all he had with him was a camera. The next morning they found him out by the street completely out of his mind. All he would say over and over was “The Haunted is coming”….he never recovered. As I went through his belongings I found an old box camera and noticed that it still had film in it ….strange there was only one picture on it…… I thought I would share it with you my friends and see what you think. The Haunted 2 -The Breeder My God, I was sure the image I developed from my dead Uncle’s box camera was the only picture, but when I searched further I found another roll of undeveloped film hidden in an old leather pouch. What unspeakable horror must have been in that house, I can see why he went insane. As I develop the film I will show you my friend what horror had taken over this old house. My Uncle didn’t leave any notes about what he found so I will try to explain the best that I can. This picture shows such a retched image its hard to describe. The only thing I can call it, is “The Breeder”. On close examination it looks like a baby is living off her body, such a sickening sight, and the woman , if you can call her that, has pus boils all over her body, just gazing on this is making me deathly ill. The look on the monster’s face makes it seem my Uncle caught it off guard. My friend words escape me on what I have found here. Do I dare go on and see what other horrified works of the devil are to be seen on this film? ......... Gaze upon this madness as I search my mind what I should do. The Haunted 3 -The Elder It’s so very hard to comprehend what my late Uncle endured in this hell house before he lost his mind. My brain is racing and I’m so tired from the lack of sleep. These horrifying images are consuming me. What an unspeakable sight they are, I feel them clawing at my mind and eating at my very being. “Oh ok”, the third image is about to develop, “MY WHAT EVER IS HOLY”!!! Give me a second to catch my breath; my heart is thumping so hard it feels that it’s going to burst through my chest. I’ll try to my best ability to describe this image. It’s like this ghoul is guarding the doorway, and it seems so very old, I shall call this thing from Hell “The Elder”. “My I’m feeling so tired and dizzy I feel like I’m about to pppass ooouut”………………… The Haunted 4 -The Guardian of the House OOOHH!! How long was I passed out? These damn pictures are consuming me; I feel like they are eating my very soul. There is one more image to develop, should I dare? I must, I have to see what drove my Uncle mad in this house forsaken by God. OOOH!! What the hell can this monstrosity be? How did my poor crazy Uncle get out of this house without being torn from limb to limb? This demon from the depths of Hell looks like some sort of a warrior or guard, for the time being I shall call him the “Guardian of the House”. My mind is racing with all types of thoughts, I feel that I must go to this house and see for myself if this if real or not, or should I dare not? I might have myself driven mad like my Uncle. For the time being my dear friend cast your gaze on this new demonic image, while I think this over………… The Haunted 5 -The Sacrifice Hello!! You don’t know me, my name is Toby. My Father asked me to come over here and watch his place while he went to Kansas City. He wasn’t very clear when I talked to him last week but, he said I should mention to you something about him checking on a house, he said that you would know what he was talking about, he really seemed upset and very nervous. I thought that I would hear from him by now, but he must be very busy with checking on that house. You know, I wish he would have told me he was expecting a package, it came just a short time ago, in fact I was just getting ready to open it. Can you wait for a minute while I see what this is? Let me get a knife to open it……..that’s strange ……. The only thing in the package is an old box camera……. I hate to ask you to wait a bit longer but this is so very strange, the camera seems to have some film in it. Let me go and develop it and see what this is all about. Make yourself a drink while I’m working on this……….MY GOD!! MY GOD!! What the hell is this…..a damn joke? HERE! Look at this, what does this image mean? LOOK CLOSE!! ………………………THAT’S MY FATHER!!!!!!!!!!
