A great morning to be on the lake fishing.
Cumberland Falls in it’s fall splendor.
This was my 2nd digital painting. I painted this in Photoshop Elements – from a blank file. :) It took several hours (about 16 I think)- about 5 hrs just on the eyes! :D
this is one of a series of three. This one is for a commission. Knowing a little about the person, besides knowing he likes red, and abstract, and loads of texture, he’s also gone through big change in his life (new business, going well, old relationship ended) One of the things he loves in his business is seeing a ‘situation’ and cleaning it up to be fresh, sparkling and better than expected. Bearing this in mind, the surface of the canvas was highly textured. There is loads of ‘chaos’ that is steam rolled through, leaving a shining path. It is a visual reminded of his efforts of the day, and the mark he leaves on the world. It is vision of happiness, a job well done, a tribute to freedom and moving forward. I have amped up the colour so it looks great in print.
Most people have cats or dogs as pets, but not this little miss. She’s adores insects and has made friends with a darling little blue caterpillar. The name ‘inchworm’ is from a song in the 1952 film, Hans Christian Anderson – which I’m fairly sure was redone by the Muppets. :) ..................♥ the fine print ♥…............... Is she saying hello or saying goodbye? This gorgeous blue eyed beauty has a well-crafted paper aeroplane circling her. Whether it’s about to land or about to take-off is anyone’s guess. This piece reminds me of all those teary airport hellos and farewells of my 20s! ..................♥ the fine print ♥…............... Bluebell was my first ‘holiday piece’ this year! She’s wearing a headband similar to the one I picked up when I arrived in Brisbane and has the sweetest little expression. I think she’s just darling with those gigantic fluttery eyelashes and wild blue hair. ..................♥ the fine print ♥…............... Ella is a sultry little vixen deciding which heart to grab next. I adore her magnificent striped dress and gigantic fluttery eyelashes – who could resist! If Ella look familiar, it may be because she was recently chosen to appear on Avant Cards distributed around Australia ..................♥ the fine print ♥…............... Lily loves birds, but you already guessed that, right? These are three of her darling bluebird friends, helping her with her hair. Actually two of them are helping and one is having a little rest (lazy bugger). ..................................♥ the fine print ♥…................................ I was exploring different ways of keeping the focus on the centre of the page and ended up with this little sweetheart. She’s a flirty little milk maid who’s dripping off the page. I adore her sultry look and pouty lips. The original was illustrated on recycled cardboard with pencil, charcoal and ink. Enjoy! xxx scarlett
Two gorgeous girls intertwined – I love it that you can’t quite tell where one’s hair ends and the other’s begins. Illustrated in pencil, pastel, ink and gouache. xxx scarlett

I took this shot in my back yard :) The male cardinal is the state bird of both Virginia (where I’m at) and Ohio. It’s such a majestic bird, with a distinctive chirp _ I really hope you enjoy this picture. The only post production that was done was small adjustment of levels and contrast. I also added the black border, of course, to make it look more like a letterbox format. I think the black and red contrast nicely together. All comments are welcomed and appreciated. Originally created for a friend’s lingerie store, Miss Penny is a knicker-clad flirt, batting her eyelids at the camera.
LIMITED EDITION – 10 AVAILABLE ONLY / This was taken as part of the “Bombshell Babes” Pinup Art Exhibition. Model: Kelly Ann Doll
Rosie was based on a picture of Zooey Deschanel – she was doing that super-flirty “batter your eyelids while glancing over your shoulder” pose. I adore the roses and peonies that surround her…and the little extra adornment that most people don’t notice. ;) ..................................♥ the fine print ♥…................................ Vivien Leigh as Scarlett O’Hara from Gone With The Wind. Acrylic on linen 18×24 inches
It’s funny how opportunistic photos happen. I was in an old movie theater in a small town and had to use the bathroom. This bathrrom had B&W vintage photos of old movie stars wallpapered all over the bathroom. I was at the urinal (peeing)...and there was a plant on top with Vivian Leigh (Scarlett) peeking at me. I had to make the “Splendor In The Grass” moment last longer…so I took this photo immediately. (...at least I think it’s Vivian Leigh).
ahh here she is up close and personal…. / done completely in daz
commissioned work I’m sorry for the delete and re-upload – but I had to work a few things out on this image. / Mainly the tones and the title.. After looking at it a while – I realized she reminds me of Hester Prynne from “The Scarlett Letter” Her face in this pic is somewhat disturbing—and for me, unsettling – and yet, I still am drawn to it… Anyway, thanks for putting up with me working kinks out on my stuff….
