This shot evolved into something I really like – with potential multiple interpretations. The idea was to comment on those being oppressed to becoming becoming oppressors – from marginal to mainstream, from radical to conservative. Recent history of the gay and lesbian liberation movement has resulted in new generation ‘queers’. This shot shows new scandal by the ‘old’ scandlised. Image copyright © 2007, Robert Knapman. There is trouble in paradise. We have a problem with Xavier, and, surprisingly it has nothing to do with his hair, but with the phenomenal speed with which he devours biscuits. We’ve all had to take a pay cut just to keep the kitchen stocked. It’s getting ri-dic-u-lous. So we took his biscuits away, and see how sad he looks: However we couldn’t stand to look at his sorrow for too long, so we struck a deal with him, he could once again dive face first into a box of Arnott’s best, if he managed to design a new RedBubble logo by the end of the week. That’s right folks, a new logo. Which we’ll host on the site. But don’t worry, we know it’ll be crap, so we probably won’t use it for long, but we’ll all feel better about owing our landlords rent if we know he has had to make an effort to earn his sugar rush. Please feel free to mock or encourage him below as you see fit. An ingredient in diet coke and many other artificially sweetened products, aspartame is surrounded by controversy. There are programs for people who are heavily addicted to diet drinks, and multitudes of reports by doctors and toxicology experts detailing the negative effects of aspartame on the body. Loads of people get really sick from the stuff, and apparently the way it got approved for use is extremely shady as well, with the scientist doing the toxicology approval being paid $1000 per day on a ten year contract. After months of travelling from the Grand Canyon to Virginia, Herman finally settled down and got in touch with his Financial Advisor Chris Fratzenfritzer to receive his quartely portfolio update. They met for lunch at the upscale Ugly Duckling, known for their splendid “All You Care To Eat” lunch buffet. Local authorities put together a quick press conference, reporting eye witness accounts of other guests and revealing the restaurants security camera footage: / “On January 8th, Chris Fratzenfritzer and Herman were seen entering the establishment, and immediatley settled down at the buffet. After approximately 15 minutes, fellow patrons overheard a heated argument coming from the buffet line. Eye witness accounts revealed that Herman picked up his portfolio and allegedly threw it at Chris. After the feathers settled, Chris was seen pounding his fist, upon which fellow patrons reported hearing a faint scream of “Bernard Madoff?” coming from Herman, just before he plunged into the abyss. The condition or whereabouts of Herman at this time is unknown. The Helvellyn range runs broadly north-south for about 7 miles, remaining above 2,000 ft (600 m) throughout its length. Dollywaggon Pike is the southernmost fell of the ridge proper, with Nethermost Pike immediately to the north. There is a subsidiary top between Nethermost and Dollywaggon Pikes named High Crag (2,900 ft). Due to the very limited depression between the two, most guidebooks follow Wainwright in counting High Crag as a part of Nethermost Pike. To the south of Dollywaggon Pike is the complex depression containing Grisedale Tarn, with Seat Sandal and Fairfield rising beyond. In common with much of the Helvellyn range there is a marked contrast between the western and eastern slopes of Dollywaggon Pike. In Wainwright’s words “To the west, uninteresting grass slopes descend to Dunmail Raise almost unrelieved by rock and scarred only by the wide stony track gouged across the breast of the fell by the boots of generations of pilgrims to Helvellyn. But the eastern side is a desolation of crag and boulder and scree.” www.davidlewins.co.uk

Occasionally I’m naughty. Not very often, granted, because if I am, Matron denies me pictures of Kylie and weak lemon drink. Those and er… all my pills too. So I’m not often naughty. Nope. Nosiree. But when I am – I’m sent to my naughty chair in room 47b of the asylum. It’s the room where Elvis gargles milk and there’s a rousing chorus of YMCA pipe music played over the tannoy system every 49 seconds. It’s enough to drive someone mad. And when I’m on my naughty chair, I like to pretend to be even naughtier. I don’t think Matron has as many surveillance cameras set up in this room and I can be as naughty as I like. Today I imagined what it must have been like to have been scandalous in 1963. Very naughty indeed. Yup. Splendid. www.idrinkleadpaint.com
