Moby reminds me of a cartoon fish what do you think? Moby the Pearl scale or Golf Ball Fish. I was changing Moby’s water and only had the glass at hand. When I got him in the glass I looked over and thought how cute and how funny. Pearl scales are very funny fish to watch swimming in a tank, they wiggle and strain to get to the bottom of the tank and sometimes even float backwards up to the top of the tank. I am not sure why this is the case but they do. Pearl scales look like they have swallowed a golf ball, their whole body is a perfect ball, with a tiny head, big eyes and beautiful long tails and fins to swim with. They really do remind me of a cartoon and I think they are really cute and funny fish, What do you think?.
Taken at Werribee Zoo, near Melbourne. Had to take heaps of shots until I got him with both eyes pointing in the same direction!!!
/ A bit more scale….(remake of “Heavy Metal”, offered by request)
On Zazzle / On DeviantART / All my mermaid artwork / ArtRage 2.5 and graphics tablet / There are many stories of dragons. Wild, blatant fancies and ancient legends of fire and eggs, mist and flame. Of taloned mosters and reptilian mages. Of cunning wyrms and low, crawling beasts. Some tell of mute, ferocious animals, children of earth and flesh. Others proclaim sly creatures of darkness, lurking venom and cruelly slitted eyes. Yet others laud the gracefully scaled spirits of the air, the bright and majestic roaring flames, the shining talons, the clever speeches and shining hoards… This is not one of those. This is the Child of the Sea, who melds with water, and flows with the waves. This is the Daughter of Salt, shining and precious, invisible in the vast seas and yet hidden in every drop. This is the seadragon, who brings the water to life with her turbulence, creating kinspirits from the froth and foam of her passing, and from sleek shining water, and the glimmer of sunlight on a droplet forms her scales… / This is the leaping splash that startles sailors, the dancing krakenmaid flying out with the spray. Old, old and deep as the seas, resting in the dark waters before the first fish formed from her tiny kin, and young, young and new formed with every wave. Everywhere and nowhere, she leaps up, dragging forth wings out of waves, dancing on the swells, whirls and rises and falls, crashing water, shining scales… You will never see her. Be grateful for a quiet life. ArtRage 2.5 and graphics tablet / About 10 hours. Dragonlings slightly easier to see in the WIP but more have been added since. Have you seen them? / Lineart This was one of my longest and I enjoyed it a lot, and learnt a lot, and …well, there’s a part of my head still rushing around in the waves there
Another illustration featuring some characters from my novel. I kind of dig this one. The background is hotter than the surface of the sun! Okay, o maybe I am being a bit dramatic…but it does look pretty cool.

“It is not about punishment, good, bad, right or wrong. It is about adjustment. The sword suggests that sometimes this won’t be pleasant. Justice pares things down with that sword so that the scales end up equal. The message is to do what’s necessary, no matter how hard, how disagreeable, in order to gain, or re-gain equilibrium. It is not a nice card, but in its way, it is a very wise card.”
this is a work inspired by watching a bunch of tulips rising high under the sun light brings the feeling of hope…....
