  • Collaboration between myself and Dabble (she’s AWESOME) Model: Jasmine This is the fourth in a series between Dabble and I depicting words through photographs. / We wanted to do this in a way that could be silly and fun yet still hold an element of seriousness and hopefully we have portrayed this. / The chosen word for this image is Fear.

  • (c) Doug Faircloth 2007

  • I took the boys to Redhead Beach today. We’ve had some beautiful weather of late..but naturally, the easter long weekend is approaching and so are the storm clouds…anyway, that did not deter them from enjoying their time in the sand. Hope you enjoy. !:http://www.redbubble.com/people/florentinepogen/art/890310-1-wait-for-me

  • This was the entry for my work’s easter colouring competition. For I guess obivious reason it was disqualified. Hopefully the bubblers will find this more amusing than my work colleages.

  • I saw the daughter of the sun; she stood / Under the north rise of the copse, where now / The shade-hoar faded, where began to show / Pale primrose heads, fresh as her own pale hood / Of straight hair, groups of early mercury / No greener than her own plain sheeny gown - / Long had I wandered in the winter-town / Of smoke-grey fog, of stone grey field and tree Nor girl she seemed, nor goddess; her grave face’ / Soft as a child’s, yet wise, brighter than spring, / More warm than summer, had strange shadowing, / Then mundane lustre held both more and less; No mirth was there, no glee, no eagerness, / No love, save love for every living thing. Elizabeth Daryush / (1887-1977) (Old Angel statue circa 1915 found in a graveyard in County Wicklow, Ireland).

  • Painted for the Gallery 696 birthday show opening April 1st – the brief was ‘greyscale with a hint of colour’. The side wall of the gallery is about to get a new graf makeover in greyscale. Can’t wait to see it! I’ve always thought sea dragons had fold out accessories…didn’t you? Watercolour, chalk pastel, ink, conte, iridescent pigments and metal leaf on canvas. The shiny bits: /

  • This shot was taken at the West 4 subway station in New York. So many wonderful photo opportunities waiting underground…yet I am often a bit nervous about shooting …not always sure how my fellow New Yorkers would feel about having a picture taken. For this reason…I have resorted to DA and this fine model – thought she fit nicely in the scene. -

  • My brother was making a table, and being the helpful person that I am I looked on and took photos. :D Shot with my Rebel XTi. / 1/1600 / F/4.0 / ISO1600 / 200mm focal length / Flash off / RAW file format Post processing included: color correction, cropping, sharpening the center, hue / saturation adjustment, and adding a vignette. • . the wind no longer carried the familiar scent / she smelled old concrete and mildew no seagulls flew / instead the broken fragments of frozen waves / that tasted like plastic she saw the end of the sky / trapped within the cement walls / grey and cold she still stood on the ledge / in the wind / she knew she was there to catch silent whispers / but she could not remember who’s… . image: / architectural sculpture / graduate portfolio review 2oo9 / @ southern california institute of architecture / o4.24.2oo9 .

  • I have the misting fog irrigation system at the Australian National Botanic Gardens to thank for this one … I was in the rainforest gully section when the mist jets came on further up the gully and rolled its fog toward me … the way it played with the late afternoon sunlight made me gasp. No textures added here … though it is a 3-frame HDR to try and capture the stairs which were almost in complete darkness. The scene reminded me of a dream I had … still does. Do you dream in colour? I do.

  • I have tried several times to put some words together with this image, and my thoughts today. Thoughts very much about lost loved ones. Loved ones- some long gone, some too recently…the words have been as elusive as the thing I am searching to re-capture….this music will tell you better the feelings behind posting an image like this today.
