Digital drawing I made up based on a woman I saw while in France. Sapphire has her own story too. She comes from Sweet Water Texas. Her mother is an X motor biker chick gang member. They were poor so Sapphire use to pole dance to get through school. She was brutally raped by two men. Her mother wanted to raise enough money from her 2 jobs to hire a hit man to kill her daughter’s attackers. But the attackers were rich, one was the son of a state senator, the other his best friend. They were untouchable for people like Sapphire and her mother Canvas. Canvas has a thick Texan accent, flaming red hair, a heavy smoker, 6 foot 2 and 200 pounds. She was known for her chain matches back in the day. She has a criminal background but has tried to stay straight for her daughter. / She never did get the money together so she sold her hog and took what money she had and her daughter and left for NYC at the request of Sapphire’s counsler, Mrs. Cherry who knew of a way Canvas and Sapphire could start a new life. She hooks them up with Lance J. Strongwell. Canvas can’t stand to watch her 23 year old beautiful daughter hide from the world in fear any longer, She never goes out of the house where they lived and she never shows herself anywhere with out a cap, sun shade and a baggy jacket on. Through Lance they meet a man that will change Sapphire’s whole life and is the answer to her mother’s prayers. Revenge is sweet. I think much of the east coast was treated to a superb sunrise this morning 31/03/2008. This was the sunrise on Tathra Beach about 6.50am, just across the road from our place.

My British blue shorthair cat called Sapphire Blue or Saffy, for short. She just loves getting into boxes, sleeping on top of boxes etc. She is great company even when she is sleeping. I used a Canon DSLR EOS 350D with flash for this shot.

It is similar but larger than the “Sparkling Violetears” with the absent violet marking across the ear portion of the head. They are not noisy as the Violetears species are, which is a pleasant characteristic. They are also distinguished by a small white spot behind the eye and pink feet. / /

Yellowstone National Park, USA. / I think maybe that when you visit Yellowstone, it feels like you are on another planet, nothing seems for real ! / The colours and ‘scapes are outlandish, like Mother Nature flipped out ! Weird and wonderful ! / It can be difficult to photograph – the wind was blowing the hot steam towards me very often, fogging up the lens, making everything very wet, not good with those electronics ! / ( I was told that the moisture from the steam can actually etch the lens, so be warned !) / The other problem is folk passing by making the boardwalk bounce around, shaking the tripod…......LOL !! / Fall is a great time to visit, a bit crowded, but those colours really zing out, and the steam is intensified by the cold Autumn air. / Oh to be there in Winter….............. Shot on my Canon EOS 40D, hand held, f13, 1/90 sec, at 49mm, iso 100, auto wb, polarising filter, RAW file, processed in PS CS3, levels/curves, selective colour adjustments, finished with LAB colour and Intellisharpen.
