It is similar but larger than the “Sparkling Violetears” with the absent violet marking across the ear portion of the head. They are not noisy as the Violetears species are, which is a pleasant characteristic. They are also distinguished by a small white spot behind the eye and pink feet. / /

Digital drawing I made up based on a woman I saw while in France. Sapphire has her own story too. She comes from Sweet Water Texas. Her mother is an X motor biker chick gang member. They were poor so Sapphire use to pole dance to get through school. She was brutally raped by two men. Her mother wanted to raise enough money from her 2 jobs to hire a hit man to kill her daughter’s attackers. But the attackers were rich, one was the son of a state senator, the other his best friend. They were untouchable for people like Sapphire and her mother Canvas. Canvas has a thick Texan accent, flaming red hair, a heavy smoker, 6 foot 2 and 200 pounds. She was known for her chain matches back in the day. She has a criminal background but has tried to stay straight for her daughter. / She never did get the money together so she sold her hog and took what money she had and her daughter and left for NYC at the request of Sapphire’s counsler, Mrs. Cherry who knew of a way Canvas and Sapphire could start a new life. She hooks them up with Lance J. Strongwell. Canvas can’t stand to watch her 23 year old beautiful daughter hide from the world in fear any longer, She never goes out of the house where they lived and she never shows herself anywhere with out a cap, sun shade and a baggy jacket on. Through Lance they meet a man that will change Sapphire’s whole life and is the answer to her mother’s prayers. Revenge is sweet. Photograph of Morning Glory taken in June 2008. Courtesy Wikimedia / The genus Ipomoea (pronounced /ˌɪpoʊˈmiːə/, from the Greek ips ~ ipos, wormweed or bindweed, and homoeos, resembling, referring to the twining habit) is the largest in the family Convolvulaceae, with over 500 species. Most of these are called “morning glories”, but this can refer to related genera also. Those formerly separated in Calonyction (Greek καλός, kalos, good and νύκτα, nycta, night) are called “moonflowers”. The genus occurs throughout the tropical and subtropical regions of the world, and comprises annual and perennial herbaceous plants, lianas, shrubs and small trees; most of the species are twining climbing plants. Human use of Ipomoea is threefold: First, most species have spectacular, colorful flowers and are often grown as ornamental plants, and a number of cultivars have been developed. Their deep flowers attract large Lepidoptera – especially Sphingidae such as the Pink-spotted Hawkmoth (Agrius cingulata) -, or even hummingbirds. Second, the genus includes food crops; the tubers of Sweet Potato and the leaves of Water Spinach are commercially important food items and have been for millennia. The Sweet Potato is one of the Polynesian “canoe plants”, transplanted by settlers on islands all over that ocean. Water Spinach is used all over eastern Asia and the warmer regions of the Americas as a key component of well-known dishes such as Canh chua rau muống (Mekong sour soup) or Callaloo; its numerous local names attest to its popularity. Other species are used on a smaller scale, e.g. the Whitestar Potato (I. lacunosa) traditionally eaten by some Native Americans like the Chiricahua Apaches, or the Australian Bush Potato (I. costata). Just a little drawing I did a long time ago. It was one of those kind that didn’t come out good so I decided to redo it in vector, see if I could do better. It came out much better this time but the coloring was hard, it was to be a night time scene with light that sort of moves around, but what ever, I think it works OK.
