I shot this yesterday. The mornings recently have been absolutely freezing and yesterday morning was no exception with the cool breeze adding to my discomfort. I normally prepare well but I forgot to take gloves with me and working the camera was painful. The tide was an hour from high and I found this spot to capture some of the interesting rock lines along one point on the Eastern side of Port Phillip Bay. This is shot in HDR.
This wonderful cacti grows on the banks of the railway of the Sandringham line in Melbourne – despite the odds, it survives really well in this environment. (Pentax Optio E20)
See that warehouse on the right ? The one with all the windows ? The one with the wedge shaped leading edge above the words ‘sync megs’ ? I like it. A lot. This pic is for a group I happen to co-host. It’s about fucking time I added something … because I co-host it.
Dancer in Sandringham on a lovely evening.
Taken at Sandringham foreshore, looking towards the piers littered with many boats on a superstill evening. Reminded me of a certain Klaxons song… ooooooo ahhhh / ooooooo ahhhh / ooooooo ahhhh / ooooooo ahhhh Light touch my hand, in a dream of Golden Skans, from now on. / You can forget our future plans. / Night touch my hand with the turning Golden Skans, / From the night and the light, all plans are golden in your hand. Set sail from sense, bring all her young. / Set sail from where we once begun. / While we wait, while we wait. A hall of records, or numbers, or spaces still undone. / Ruins, or relics, disciples and the young. / A hall of records, or numbers, or spaces still undone. / Ruins, or relics, disciples and the young. Taken at dusk at Sandringham, Melbourne, Victoria, Australia looking out towards the Yacht Club. A super wide stitch of several images combined in Photoshop CS4 using the Photomerge tool, also did some work in Lightroom 2. I’m dying to get out over Easter this year and get a bit further down the coast where there’s actually waves! I was thinking maybe Phillip Island and maybe a bit further down Mornington Peninsula like Cape Schanck, either way I think it will be a good long weeend! A drainage pipe leeking at sunset on the Sandringham foreshore. This area is being renourished by Bayside City Council to help stabilise the foreshore cliffs which are being eroded by wave action and stormwater emanating from the car park above. As soon as I took this photo the guys on the constuction equipment came over and started working on it maybe because of the low tide. Taken with my Canon 40D and 10-22mm wide angle lens with Polarising, Grad and ND4 Cokin Filters. Didn’t really have to do anything to the photo apart from remove some spots, I think it’s time for a sensor clean! This shot was taken whilst on holidays to England to visit the area where I was born. It started to rain as I took this shot stood in the middle of the little stepping stone path.
