  • The island cross stands tall on Pensacola Beach. The cross and dune have stood firm through many years of hurricanes and no one knows why is has been spared so many times.

  • A picturesque view of the rocky beach called as ‘The Baths’ on the Virgin Gorda Island, in the British Virgin Islands.

  • I came across these two shells on the lonely beach. It’s so unusual to find such intact shells and it was so perfect on the desolate beach this day, I thought this was the perfect time to catch a memory of a beautiful day. I set the white balance on shade so I could get a warm color to the photo. The sand here is snow white normally. I used my 50mm lense, 100 iso and 7 apeture for a shallow depth of field.

  • This shell was broken but I think it still has beauty. Shot this at Pensacola Beach about 7 am. I love the beach at this time of day, there was no one around and it was such a perfect day! Used my Canon Rebel XSI and the kit lens 18-55mm.

  • We arrived at 7 am and it was another beautiful quiet morning on Pensacola Beach. Taken with my Rebel XSi and 50mm lens, ISO set on 100 and Apeture 7 for a bit of shallow depth.

  • Nikon D60 / hdr in Photomatix / one shot, hand held / Lens: Nikkor 18-200mm / f/5.6 1/125 ISO180 / Bridlington Harbour, North Yorkshire, UK

  • WINNER of the challenge Sailboats There was a 5 yeas old boy who did this boat from a plastic bottle and put the figures inside and let it sail accross the small lake in the park. I was taken some pictures in the park and saw this childmade ship so, I took a few shots. The little boy was very proud of it that his work has been appreciate it. I have took another picture with him bending towards the boat, he is so sweet but, I can’t upload this shot for a few reasons. 10 minutes of this moment will stay with me forever. / Nikon D60 / Lens: Nikkor 18-200mm / 1/40 f/13.0 ISO100 / Scarborough Park, Noth Yorkshire, UK / / / !

  • On the seaward side of Spurn are the remains of many breakwaters, although time and tide have long since got the better of the coastline, reshaping & reclaiming it by as much as 6ft a year. This is quite abstract processing, even for me… isolating details, blurring/dodging the background and split toning to emulate the feel of early experimental photographs.

  • A red blooded urbexer shooting moody lanscapes?!! Whatever next..? This was a classic case of composing with your legs, or walking a couple of hundred yards and shifting left/right to get the angle. After that my lens pretty much fell on target. I’m not really used to limiting DoF for effect, being more of a realist, but I think I’ll be trying it again. Anything that can make South Yorkshire look like Martha’s Vineyard can’t be all bad!

  • Hwy 101 along the Oregon coast spans a great white water river, plus the salmon fishing on it is one of the best on the Pacific coast. Taken about 10 pm after the sun went down, the bridges along the coast route are all historical land marks.
